Dr. Gregory George Danesis, MD

w/ my bladder cancer diagnosis, and needing my bladder removed, i found out about a more modern surgery (compared to wearing bag on your gut) called the Indiana Pouch. Danesis doesn't do that surgery, so i told him i would like to go to Clevelnd Clinic in Cleveland for my 2nd opinion. he got gruff and short w/ me, saying he has been doing & teaching Ileal conduits (gut bag) for over 30 years and he has perfected it! ... he said i should have the staff 'send my records to cleveland tomorrow' (it was an evening appointment) ...... first thing in the early morning i drove to his office to ask the staff about forwarding my records to CleveClinic. ... i was the first and only patient in the waiting room and told the nice clerk what i was there for... she closed the glass window a bit to expedite my request... suddenly, right off the bat, i hear a door slam in the back, and i hear dr. danesis grumbling loudly, orders to his staff. couple minutes later the clerk opened her window and… told me to go ahead thru the doors and the first gal's desk, she would be able to help. i went in, she asked me a couple questions and suddenly, Danesis comes around the corner and sees me. "What are you doing here?!!?" i told him "you told me last night to have my info sent to cleveClinic "... "well.. you could've just called." he angrily started pointing down at the gal who was taking care of me, and yelling and pointing as her shoulders slumped lower, and lower". then he walked off.... she continued getting my things together... couple minutes later he comes around the corner and glared at me and yelled "why are you still standing there?:!!?" "i'm just waiting" "Well get out! you can wait out there!" ......... short while later ,,, the gal who put all my stuff together, came out to the waiting room... she whispered to me, "c'mon outside" ... she showed me what all she was faxing, and that she has heard great reputation of dr. steven campbell at CleveClinic surgeon , so she got all his contact info for me. ..... i thanked her and told her i am sorry she has to put up w/ such a mean guy. she said that's how he is...

Horrible vasectomy experience. Did not prescribe any medication for before the procedure as most Drs do, and the local anesthesia was ineffective. Had no other alternative available for pain, so I basically had a vasectomy with little to no numbing. The pain was unbearable and I nearly vomited and nearly passed out. One of the worst experiences I've ever had, and and 5 days out I'm still experiencing a lot of pain.

I was concerned when I first went to see about my problem but Dr.Danesis put me at ease and explained what he was going to do to solve my problem. He did what he said he was going to do and I am about 100% better....not back to19 but good enough for a guy of 87 years young.He is fine tuning it now and in another month everything should be back to normal......almost there now

Very unprofessional, Will never go back !!!!!

Charges fees by the question with no advance warning. Believes he answers to no one. You are a dollar sign, not a patient. Can't even explain his own fee structure. His staff is even worse. In 57 years, have never experienced a more rude staff. Totally unprofessional.

No wonder this doctor got such bad reviews. Wish I had checked him out sooner. Staff is rude. He is rude. Stay away!!!!

He treated me horrible. Tried to perscribe medication i am allergic to. I would bet he never even glanced at my medical records. After routine surgery I ended up in horrible pain. Other urologists have done this surgery on me and I was never in pain, months later I'm still in pain. My father also saw this man years ago and he treated my mentally unstable elderly father like this also. My father never would see another urologist because of the way this man treated him. He later died from urological complications.
