Dr Heumann is so caring and sweet. He always takes time to listen to my every need and all my concerns. He his truly an angel sent from above. He goes out of his way to make sure that I understand everything ha he told me, he encourages for me to educate myself on my disease. Also his bedside manners are unbelievable. I absolutely adore Dr. Heumann and his staff, I look forward to each and every visit with him. There is no otherwise cardiologist in this world that I would trust my heart ( physically & emotionally) with. I trust him with my life

Dr. Heumann has to be one of the kindest, caring Drs. I have seen in many years. His staff at Bedford MedicalCenter/I.U. Health is kind and courteous and very helpful during your visit. They also put you at ease before Dr. Heumann gets into the exam room. Dr. Heumann is very through, caring, and listens as long as you need to discuss your health with him. We are so Blessed to have such a great Heart Dr. and his staff in Bedford.

Dr. Heumann is truly one in a million. He cares about his patients & lets them see that.He really LISTENS, HEARS & RESPONDS TO his patients' observations & his patients' questions, fears, and concerns.He is an excellent diagnostician. Dr. Heumann has achieved recognition in the Heart/Stroke Recognition Program of the National Committee for Quality Assurance which is a private (non-profit) agency working to improve health care quality throughout the healthcare system.Dr. Heumann's body of knowledge, & his continuing growth "keeping up" and studying in his field, add greatly to his ability to help his patients.When necessary he has no qualms about referring to other doctors or hearing someone else's opinion.He tries to educate his patients, when needed, to understand their individual conditions or circumstances. He is willing to "think outside the box" and dig a little deeper, as opposed to just prescribing 'standard' medications.He is not threatened by active patient participation… either, in fact he welcomes & encourages it. He seems to think that an informed patient has the best success at recovery and/or management of their health.In the early 1900s a great doctor & teacher said: "Listen to your patient and he (she) will tell you what is wrong with him (her)" While sounding simple, many doctors overlook this principle. Dr. Heumann lives & doctors by this ideal. While being the physician "expert", he has no problem partnering with his patients to provide the best care possible.We are very fortunate to have a physician of Dr. Heumann's knowledge & caliber in Bloomington.
