Dr. Gregory Brian Iwaasa, MD

Beware! Dr. Iwaasa chose to proceed with an Evans procedure even though the surgical hardware was not available! (I was under anesthesia and not consulted.) Thus, the fallen arch was not properly repaired and is now more painful than before the procedure. After it became clear that my surgery was not successful, Dr. Iwaasa refused to further discuss my foot, and I was forced to seek assistance from a Podiatrist in Tucson. Dr. Iwaasa’s care was substandard, and I hold him personally responsible for the poor outcome of my surgery.

For the 1st time in 4 years of seeing foot doctors. Finally one that is great. And understands loosing the ability to walk. I'm so glad I found the doctor. And any one with feet problems should see him

I have pain and mobility issues and it's impossible for me to take care of simple foot and toenail needs. So, I need to my toenails trimmed every couple of months. I always do a good foot bath and soak prior to any podiatrist appt, and I don't have any weird foot or unsanitary foot issues. When I had my appt with Dr. Iwassa I was told my insurance company probably wouldn't pay for this, and I would then be charged, (although my insurance has always paid previously). He kept pressing this issue. I had an uncomfortable feeling this doctor just doesn't like to have patients that need to have their toenails trimmed, although that is a normal practice for all podiatrists. He told me I should go to have a pedicure....lol! The first time I went to him for an appt, I was encouraged to have my big toenail "popped off", although there was nothing wrong with it except a tad ingrown, which he should have dealt with. I felt I was in the presence of someone who was more interested in selling me… on the need of having a "procedure" done.....which could be charged off on my insurance. I don't think I'll be going back again, nor would I recommend him.
