Summary
Dr. King joined the Stokes team at Sumter Eye Center in July of 2001. He received his undergraduate degree in 1985 from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating college, Dr. King went on to do Post Baccalaureate Stats and Research at Memphis State University. He worked on his Masters in Experimental Psychology at Vanderbilt University in 1989 and received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1993. Dr. King then went to the Medical College of Virginia where he completed his Internship in Preliminary Internal Medicine in 1994 and his Residency in Ophthalmology in 1997. Dr. King also served as Chief Resident during his last year of residency.
Dr. King is Board certified in Ophthalmology and belongs to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the South Carolina Medical Association. Prior to coming to Stokes Regional Eye Centers, Dr. King practiced at Petersburg Eye Center in Virginia.
