Dr. Gregory Evan Kobak, MD

Besides the fact that he is condescending in how he speaks. He tried multiple times to push a nissen fundoplication on my child when she was getting a G tube. He never explained the risks or recovery. Nothing. She also had never been on a GERD medication and had no recent swallow study showing aspiration, yet he still kept pushing it. Medically, it would not have been necessary without proven chronic aspiration or without trying less invasive options first (such as medication). Nissen should be if GERD medication fails to help. Please be aware of this provider and that he will push you into a surgery without do diligence. I’m so relieved he’s on a hiatus and we now have a different GI because of this. He also canceled my daughters appt BEFORE his hiatus because he didn’t want to see her even though she was schedule two months prior. That decision of his was self serving and rude because it was around the holidays and we had to scramble to find a G tube follow up appt at the last minute… despite having scheduled with him months prior. He did nothing but make our lives more difficult during an already difficult and vulnerable time. I hope he is on an indefinite hiatus.

This man is a repulsive excuse of a doctor. This man is abusive and cruel. He shouts at a disabled father in front of his four year old son over absolutely nothing. He ignores ER deemed “extremely contipated” x-rays of the four year olds belly. He has no care for the children he supposedly provides for. He is no doctor. He is an abuser. Don’t take your child to this man if you care for your child’s health at all. He does not care in any shape or form.

He couldn't care less about the kids, it's like he just hates his job so he takes it out on them. He tries to see as many kids as he can in the shortest amount time. The big problem with that is that he just overlooks the childrens sicknesses and degrades them in a anyway he can on top of that.

I suffer everyday trying to cope with how he treated me as a child, I hope he's changed but by reading the other reviews I see that's not the case.

Dr. Kobek saw my son for failure to thrive and FPIES. Unfortunately he refused to do a basic workup to outrule malabsorption or other serious conditions as he believed it was just a “calorie issue” and would not listen to my input at all even when I tried to explain that my son was taking in sufficient calories but had chronic diarrhea which could indicate malabsorption. My husband and I were very concerned with his assessment so discussed our concerns with our pediatrician who said she would discuss it with him and ask him to contact us. He did not contact us and his nurse just called to schedule an Ng tube and when we questioned doing a basic workup first we were told according to Dr. Kobek it was just a calorie issue and no tests were needed. We sought a 2nd opinion luckily as our pediatrician was also not satisfied with his lack of communication. We went to Rocky Mountain children’s Hospital and were admitted. They did a full work up and found that this was not a calorie issue but… a severe case of malabsorption and the GI Dr. Kuzek has been excellent and shown us how a doctor should communicate and listen to patients. I hope no other parent and child has to fight so hard for appropriate care for their children because of Dr. Kobek’s attitude and ego

I would not let this turd see my gold fish

This doctor is extremely lacking in bed side manner is very arrogant and rude . He is unwilling to listen to anyone's point of views but his own. For an hour of him degrading me my insurance paid him almost $1000 . What a waste of time and money!

I would highly recommend DR. Kobak. We started seeing him when are daughter was 1 1/2 months old for an enlarged liver issue. She had a biopsy done and he made us feel such at ease about the situation. He answered questions we had and always followed up quickly. We moved out of state and he was able to refer us to another GI doctor in out new state.

Dr. Kobak was very sincere, attentive and caring when I visited him with my daughter. Never felt rushed or that my daughter was just another patient. She had an endoscopy today and he was there before and there after to explain and answer questions. My daughter felt very comfortable and at ease with him and she is only 10 years old going in for a scarey procedure. I would highly recommend him.
