He did arthroscopic surgery on my knee. Explained everything very well. Very kind, sweet bedside manner. Just had this done 2 weeks ago. Highly recommend him.

I have struggled with major joint pain for 10+ years. I finally found Dr. Leather through my mother in law. Hr has helped me through several surgeries and now I live somewhat comfortably. It's a substantial difference from what it was. He has a lovely sense of humor and outstanding bedside manner. He explains everything. I highly recommend him to all.

This does NOT reflect Dr. Leathers. I was seen by Phys. Asst John Clark. I had a sudden painful issue with my hips. I contacted my Primary and had x-rays two days later. I was then referred to Pen Bay Orthopedics and told that the earliest appt. I could get was with PA John Clark. The office changed my appt three (3) times, before finally giving me a date nearly a month later. Reception did a very thorough and prompt job of get the paperwork done for my insurance coverage. I was also given a personal history form to fill out. The form took about 15 mins to fill out, as I had been told before the appt. I had arrived early to finish it before my appt time. I still have the form;no one ever asked for it and no one ever looked at it. I was called in for my exam 15 mins late. A nurse took my vitals and reviewed my medications. Before the PA came in (30 mins later) I heard him mention my name and make the comment that he was so busy that he was having trouble keeping it… straight just who he was seeing. Not a confidence booster. He first asked what it was I was referred for. I told him and explained that since it had been a month since the x-rays much of the pain had subsided. I began telling him that I did have some other issues that I thought were related and he interrupted me and told me he had a set of questions he would ask to determine the problem. It was very much a "Shut up and just give me yes or no answers." He did concur with my original assumption and offer to refer me for PT or to give cortisone shots at this appt, or in the future. I declined both as the exercises that I was already doing seemed to be helping. He suggested ibuprofen which I declined because of asthma. That was explained on the form that he never saw. Needless to say, I will not go back nor will recommend this office to others. Several years ago my wife had foot surgery from a physician in this office who is no longer there. That surgery resulted in a deformity that causes the second toe to cross over her big toe.

I had a shoulder problem about two years ago. Dr. Leather got me in for x-rays that day and determined that I needed physical therapy which solved my problem.
