This doctor over promises, doesn’t deliver then cops a Cavalier attitude & disappears ! Beware if this doctor!!!!!

I had shattered my shoulder, and initially he said he showed my films to “2 or 3 shoulder guys” and that they did not recommend surgery. But when my fracture healed, I had limited range of motion, and I still had pain. I asked for a MRI to see if any soft tissue injury was there, but he refused saying “you had a fracture, and that’s not going to show anything”. He was very doom and gloom about my future use of my arm. I got a second opinion at a large teaching hospital. They were appalled when they saw my healed X-ray. My arm had healed malunioned in the worst possible position. I was never told this. When I told them that he wanted to do a MUA beacause my “only problem was scar tissue”, I could tell they were appalled by that too. I had surgery to correct the problem, and I am doing all the things with my arm that Dr McComis said I would never be able to do. Also, when I had the surgery, my bicep muscle had ruptured and had started to attach itself in the wrong place, which accounted… for some of my pain after I had “healed”. The MRI that I asked for would have shown that. I think my case was too complicated for him, but he was too proud to admit it. I wasted so much time and money going to him. I should have fired him earlier. My advice is when you need an orthopedic doctor, go to one that specializes in what you have going on. I ended up at an upper extremity specialist.

never having had surgery before, was really scared to go through it. once I had my consultation with him, i had that peace that I had prayed for. all the above reviews have been correct. he and his wonderful surgical team are the best there is. need the other hip done and I have no fear knowing how wonderful he is. a true christian man. knows how blessed he is.

Dr. McCommis is fabulous. Smart, great Diagnostician, and Surgeon. Judy is crazy, cruel, and banned me from getting my hip operation for no given reason other than she does not like me. McCommis should fire her immediately, before she does ,ire damage to his practice.

Dr McComis did Spinal Fusion on my back. I am 71 years old. When he was don I feel 40 again. I feel he is the BEST !!!

I had bilateral carpal tunnel release and sailed right through surgery. My healing time was pretty quick, considering I had both hands done at the same time. I can now sleep through the night, drive, and cook all without pain or numbness. I still can't figure out why I waited so long. Great doctor, great service, over all thrilled with the outcome.

I have know Dr. Mccomis for four years and he has performed three surgeries on me. I like his calm nature, thorough explanations, listens to my questions and has a great bedside manner with gentle humor. He gives meds as needed. He doesnt give unnecessary equipment unless needed. Very knowledgeable in his field with a very friendly and efficient staff.

When the quacks at Rush told me they couldn't do anything more for me Dr.Mccomis told me he could fix me. He did fix my leg and I'm walking today because of him.

Dr. McComis is truely an expert in his field. He discused all my options for bilateral hip replacement(Anterior Approach). When I was ready for my surgery a date was set the procedure and it was performed with no complications. I am truely fortunate to have him as my Orthopedic Specalist.

The Dr made the choices and helped me understand what was needed and why! He was straight forward but not in a rude manner. The staff was nice as well!
