Dr. Gregory Hunt Mckinnis, MD

I've been a patient of his when I moved to OKC around 2005 at his Midwest City. I've seen many pulmonary doctors before him and I know what constitutes standard medical practices. If you have good insurance, he will conduct unnecessary medical tests just so he can pile it on to the insurance companies. If you question his tactics he will get angry with you. Never had a such a rude fraudulent doctor. Run away from this "doctor".

Dr. McKinnis and staff are quick, kind and professional. I would recommend this practice to anyone with any breathing or sleep problems!

When I first encountered Dr. McKinnis I was already admitted to St. Anthony hospital with a terrible lung infection that was serious enough to be fatal. Dr. McKinnis was the 4th doctor I had seen and was the only one who was capable of properly diagnosing and treating the infection. I owe many thanks to Dr. McKinnis for saving my life.

I was referred to Dr McKinnis by another physician who wanted a specific sleep study for Sleep Apnea and I seen McKinnis and he said I wasn't qualified for the study. Whether he meant didn't meet the criteria or wasn't qualified insurance-wise he never made clear. Then when he dismissed me, I started to pat his shoulder and he quickly turn away so I wouldn't touch him. At a later point in time I did have the specific study that McKinnis said I "wasn't qualified for" from yet another physician who requested the sleep study. The study was sent to McKinnis for interpretation and the diagnosis was Severe Sleep Apnea. Dr McKinnis should have explained why I wasn't "qualified" and not dismissed me without an appropriate diagnosis even based on symptoms. He did a marginally adequate examination and dismissed me on my first visit. I on't voluntarily return to see him although his staff are polite and the office is clean.

Dr. McKinnis has helped me with my sleep for a year and a half now, and everything he has done has helped me so much! Dr. McKinnis understood my sleeping issues and explained everything that he could do to fix them. Unlike other sleep and lung doctors in the area that I have visited, he actually listened to me and tried to fix it! His diagnosis was spot on, and while I used to barely get 3 hours of sleep at night, I'm now sleeping soundly! Thank goodness I have found such an amazing doctor.

Three times I dealt with Dr. McKinnis and I just as well diagnosed my own ailment. He did not follow-up in a timely manner and he did not even do the proper procedure. Make sure you research your doctor beforehand.
