Dr. Gregory Dean Pennock, MD

I have been a patient at Pocatello Cardiology for approximately 16 years during that time I had seen five cardiologists. I was unhappy with the turnover and was skeptical about seeing my sixth, Dr. Pennock. I was very happy after my appointment. He was solicitous and caring. He had researched my case and made what I feel are excellent suggestions about my care. Side note: is it necessary to have to renew "I am not a robot" six times while writing this short summary? Arrived with Afib, extreme pulse and BP issues: received new medications and life became wonderful again!

My first visit to Portneuf Cardiology was for the community heart calcium scoring test. This involved a lipid panel, ECG and CT scan. All staff were exceptionally skilled and professional carrying out the tests. I would like to recognize Mersi in particular who was the ECG technician. I had been having issues breathing and really thought something was wrong. While Mersi could not evaluate the scan, she did show it to me, which indicated some abnormal readings. Cara called me with results a couple of days later, and listening to the concern in my voice, was miraculously able to find an appointment with Dr. Pennock just 4 days from then. Little did I know that I had been on the verge of suffering from submassive pulmonary embolisms (PE's) in both lungs that landed me in the hospital the very next day. All the hospital doctors and staff worked their miracles to save my life - something that ECG picked up on! My follow-up visit with Dr. Pennock was very professional - he… explained the calcium score results, my follow-up care for the PE's, and long term heart health. His nurse Kyl worked her magic to help me get the meds I need as inexpensively as possible. The receptionist staff are SO friendly - it's like you have known them for years. All I have encountered at the practice have been great!

Dr. Gregory D. Pennock always has enough time to talk through the issues and to set out choices and options. Doesn’t mind my questions and understands my worries. I would recommend him wholeheartedly
