Dr. Gregory Thomas Quinlan, MD

I went in with extreme pain in my lower abdomen and chest. I had an iud and had been bleeding for a couple weeks. They checked me for a heart attack and Dr. Quinlan was about to just give me Valium and send me home when my friend asked if he should give me a pregnancy test first. He finally agreed and it was positive. My husband who had just finished EMT classes asked about an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, he responded that it was impossible since I was bleeding and had an iud. He then said sorry we can't find the source of the pain but congratulations on the baby. He told me i could come back the next day if i wanted and sent me home in so much pain my husband had to find me a wheelchair. My husband drove me an hour and 15 minutes to the next city hospital where they had to perform emergency surgery. My fallopian tube had ruptured and I was bleeding internally. They said I had about 2 more hours and I would've been dead. Had my husband just taken me home to sleep it off… I wouldn't be alive today. The doctor at the other ER was shocked that Dr. Quinlan didn't see the obvious signs and just sent me home to die. We always try to find out who's on call here now. I refuse to risk my life or anyone else's.
