Dr. Gregory Paul Reece, MD

Dr. Reese is a very nice man, but he is not skilled in DIEP surgery. He removed what he called an insignificant amount of muscle during my DIEP flap surgery. It required two surgeries elsewhere to repair the damage that he did. MD Anderson will not assure me that he has received training so that no one else will suffer what I went through. Patient advocacy is a joke. They advocate for MD Anderson, not the patient.

I should of listened to my heart after my first appointment. But I pushed forward as I needed cancer out. After mastectomy Dr Reece was very rude, told me what I was going to do and had no intent ever of following my plan of care based on my personal needs for recovery. I am concerned for those that just do what he wants instead of doing what is right for them personally. This doctor is a bully and my last appointment he yelled at me because I was not going to accept implants but use my body for reconstruction. After two weeks in Houston for appointments he arranged I left in tears and five days later my husband and I fired him. Horrible patient interaction. I have to live with whatever I have done, he doesn't. Warning to future patients.
