Dr. Gregory Paul Scagnelli, MD

This doctor does not listen to the parents concerns, is rude, and hung up on me when I did not agree with him. Why he is in a helping profession, I have no idea. Don't waste your time. Go to Upstate.

Dr scagnelli diagnosed my son's condition with testing and bloodwork. He took my son as a patient within 15 mins of my son's Dr talking with him. He saved my son. I am extremely grateful to him. He's wonderful to my son and even let me stay with my son until the beginning oh his scoping. Yes he's very straight to the point but he did in 1 week what took another Dr nearly 3 years to do.. properly diagnose my son .

Went for my son who is 4 months old, he walked in said why are you here? I tried to explain to him he kept cutting me off and when I finally got to my point he said give your son 2tsp of Karo syrup every feeding, if that does not help his constipation then I will put him on medicine! We paid $45.00 and drove 1 hr 13 minutes just for him to tell me that! Not very friendly at all!!!!

I went to Dr. Scagnelli with GI pain and after performing an endoscope only, he diagnosed me with Celiac's disease. He let me know by leaving a message on the answering machine saying that I'd have to go on a gluten free diet and feel free to look it up online. 11 years later I've had 3 other opinions, the Celiac blood test twice, another endoscopy and a colonoscopy and have been told that I don't have Celiac's disease. I spent that much time and money on a gluten free diet to still have symptoms, and find out that I was given the wrong diagnosis.

Dr. Scagnelli was right on the mark with my diagnosis, He was courteous, kind and understanding. He saved my life and I have continued to have a great quality of life because of what he made possible. I would recommend him to everyone!

The Dr WASN'T kid friendly what so ever!! NEVER introduced himself to me let alone my child. NEVER talked to my child!! NEVER asked if I had any questions and when I did ask questions I felt like I was putting him out. I felt like my child and I was just a number. Came in for a few moments and left. NEVER once did he sit down and really take his time to talk and listen. All in all my child or myself wasn't happy with this Dr!! I have talked to other people that had him too for their kids and coming to find out they felt the same way and moved on to another Dr. When my child and I went to another Dr found out that ALOT of other patients are going there too from the same office. All in all NOT happy!! I hope I truly save or at least help someone else out when it comes time to pick out a Dr. I had looked into things myself but didn't find things out til after the fact.

I would recommend Dr. Scagnelli. I feel if it wasn't for him, and DR. Scagnelli and his concerns with my sons eating.My son would not be where he is today with his health. I want Thank you and your staff, for all your help and an excellent surgery.
