Dr. Gregory Clark Scribner, MD

This guy is the worst doctor I've ever had when it comes to listening. He cuts me off on a phone appt and tells me I need no antibiotics for a sinus infections I had 14 months ago and have again. Same situation but refuses to call in script for same meds that previuosly corrected situaton. When I tried to make sense of his course of action he says: Forgive me for being so rude and you go to urgent care if you need further assistance. I sense he was a good doctor at one time but he is currently worthy of his 2 of 5 ranking on reviews and I would give a zero if possible. This guy made me feel like I was a junky calling for oxycodone in lieu of anti biotics to get well for a sinus infection. If you like suffering with no help and being talked down to, this is the doctor for you. I'm Calling to get new doctor today. I never want to see or talk to this prick again.

I was made to feel like I was just someone to check off for a paycheck. I wasn't heard and he is very cold towards patients. If you don't accept walking as a cure all he will blame you for not getting better. I feel like hes more or a life coach than a doctor. He doesnt believe in medicine to help. He will leave you feeling helpless and worst off. One goes to their doctor to get help with ones health not be dismissed. Really disappointed with him.

Dr. Scribner was dismissive with me from the moment he entered the room. Before even asking me any questions he announced that he would not refill my Lyrica rx because I admitted using medical marijuana to help with my pain. He told me I had to quit using it and come back in a month to pee in a cup to prove I was 'clean' before he would give me the rx I had been put on by my neurologist months prior. Using medical blackmail and his personal beliefs while offering me no other options except to go on anti-depressants. I am not depressed and that wasn't even on the list of reasons I went to see him. He allowed me to discuss the 3 top issues and as I did he didn't acknowledge anything I was saying. In fact there is nothing in my after visit summary regarding anything I went in for. Rather he talked about the clean urine sample to go back on my rx, and told me to eat better and check my BP. He's an idiot. There's some village somewhere missing him. He should back, Portland doesn't need this… level of medical lack of attention and professionalism. Oh and 45 min. late for the 10 appt. time he spent with me.

I have had two different family members see this doctor because of unavailability of other doctors at the office and what a complete waste of time and energy these appointments were! First off, on both appointments, he did not listen or look at the medical chart. You would think the doctor would take a quick look inside someones' nose if they are complaining of sinus symptoms!! That did not happen! Or, if someone comes in with symptoms of a bone spur from the hip, you don't automatically tell them that they need physical therapy so that the spur tears into tissue further? Right? Well, both of my family members issues needed surgery, according to not just second opinions but the specialists as well. Thank goodness we had the sense to ask for second opinions! All this doctor knows is to tell you that you either don't eat right and if you eat right, you then need to fast instead and to send you jogging and to physical therapy. This is the extent of his medical knowledge no matter if you… go in for severe sinus or severe joint problems. He does not care nor does he take the time to, he just wants that 15min visit in his wallet. Gee, thanks for nothing Doc!

Unless you are a VEGAN, or at least a VEGETARIAN, you will not get this doctor’s best effort. During your appointment he will sit at his computer in silence and type something, maybe he’s writing a book? I went in there with a horrible cough and flu symptoms and his solution was to change the brand of blood pressure med I had taken for years. Three days later I called 911 with a serious case of pneumonia resulting in a week in the hospital and then two weeks in a nursing home for rehab. I could go on and on! Bottom line - he doesn’t seem to care. I wonder how he still has a practice!

He wasn't up to date on my conditions and wasn't aware how much he had cut me back on my pain med . More importantly, how quickly he had. He had to actually look at my chart and was oh guess that was abit too fast. He doesn't like giving you prescription for getting ypur preapproved electric chair fixed. Need total hip replacement, i am having to drag my leg around until sirgery a month away. He didn't approve my husband's chair either, who has both hips replaced and has mobility issues from strokes.

Dr. Scribner is great - he listens very carefully to what I have to say, and takes detailed notes to track progress. He goes the extra mile to treat the whole person - I have bad eating habits and he even tried to find a scholarship for me to attend a nutrition class/seminar in the area. He is easy to talk to and careful with his diagnosis, which is important.

My comments are not many because to this day I am still to dumbfounded by my experience with this Doctor. I might as well not have even been there because we hardly talked and his prognoses was for someone else.

I like Dr.Scribner, he is a very nice person. I went to the doctor for sleep and depression problems, he told me to take a anti-depression drug. The problems I was having turn out to be a calcium defiency and the SRI he perscribed turn out to be a appitit deprsent. Months later and broken ribs, and two broken teeth,400 dollars later, I have had to figure out the problem by myself. It is not his fault I have M.S. and nutrition problems, but I did expect help finding the issue. Instead he gave me a pill that did alot of harm.
