Dr. Gregory Scott Smart, MD

This is not my first experience with Dr. Smart and his administration. First experience was a few years ago when I had to care for my mother after she had a stroke. The second time was today when I took FMLA paperwork to the office to have filled out because I was going to have to take off work while she had surgery. The receptionist was clueless, the nurse told me he would probably not fill it out because he didn't know me. (Of course not, we've had the opportunity to meet, but he's never bothered to introduce himself nor speak to me even though I have been taking my mother there for years!) The nurse admonished me for requesting FMLA and subsequently creating a problem for her and Dr. Smart rather than taking a day of vacation. My paid time off vs. FMLA is none of their business. And the idiot doesn't understand how FMLA works. I have never met a more disorganized, rude group of people who are supposed to be in the business to serve people. If you need pills for a cold, I… suppose they won't screw it up, but when you're caring for family members... several of them as I am this sort of hiccup in your daily routine is aggravating and stressful. I don't recommend them at all. There are much better options around. It's time for this guy to retire.

Dr Smart is an awesome doctor. He was my family’s doctor for over 30 years. I now live in the DFW area and he is one of the things I miss most about not living in ElDorado. It was always easy to make quick appointments and his staff are very friendly and attentive. Always found him to be attentive, compassionate, and professional. I would recommend him to anyone in Eldorado.

JP Mobley, the Nurse Practitioner working with Dr Smart, is a gifted medical professional and she has an unusual amount of human insight. I owe my life to JP Mobley who diagnosed and designed a course of testing and treatment that brought my body back to life. She did what the three specialist MDs before her could not. I would recommend JP Mobley, NP and Dr. Gregory Smart, MD with enthusiasm.

I have been seeing Dr. Smart for several years. I was used to seeing a very hyper doctor & then after Dr. Smart I was wondering about his personality. Some days he's real talkative & some days not but what matters most is he is there when you need him. I like that someone answers the phone when you call & you don't have to get someone to call back to set up an appointment & you usually can get in right away if needed. He spends time with his patients & always says if there's a problem to call back. He sees my whole family & I would recommend him to anyone. We are very lucky to have such a caring doctor in town who not only has his practice but works at the hospital too.

This Dr.is very rude and has a bad attitude, especially when it comes to worker's comp cases.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smart's since 1983 and I wouldn't change if someone offered to pay me. He has treated all my family and presently treats my husband and daughter. He has a great bedside manner, a good sense of humor, he's compassionate, and he cares about his patients. If Dr. Smart can't find out what the problem is, he is upfront with you and refers you to a physician that he feels can give you a diagnosis and resolve your problem. Dr. Smart has the friendliest office staff and nurses of any doctor I've been to. I would highly recommend him to anyone because he's always been there for me and my family. Thank you Dr. Greg Smart.
