Dr. Gregory Noel Soloway, MD

Issued a random, offhand, and inappropriate protocol based on a poor, oversimplified, and INACCURATE summary/ evaluation of symptoms and medical history, as a result of an apparent unwillingness to evaluate complexities of documented medical history and presentation.. Stated I had "extensive" workups which was completely untrue. Utilized an intermediary fellow to evaluate me initially as a new patient. and relied fully on her intake and scribbled notes, while he remained in is his office and waited for a report from her- never examined me, spoke to me,  or viewed medical reports first hand. The two engaged in a "private discussion" about me in his office before coming back in to issue his "edicts" in much less then 5 minutes, which were not applicable or appropriate whatsoever to my case. His introductory statement to his lecture was, "We are not reinventing the wheel here", which was stated with sarcasm and contempt. When he was done he stood up and walked out making it clear he was… not interested whatsoever in honoring any questions from me.  I had managed to work in one relevant question concerning his recommendations which he promptly and curtly dismissed. When I  pointed out to the fellow after he left that had totally ignored a particular issue I had discussed with her on intake, she nodded in agreement, ran out of the office and come  back saying he had revised his protocol adding another procedure to his recommendation. Probably the most cavalier, uncaring, unprofessional and unsound medical behavior I have ever been subjected too. If you have multiple chronic, and complex debilitating symptoms and overlapping medical conditions, rather then something straightforward- I do not recommend Dr Soloway.  Additionally, if you don't care about actually meeting with or being evaluated first hand by a DR for your particular presentation and symptoms in a professional caring and courteous manner- STAY AWAY!

* I went for Hemorrhoids... * I was recommended a colonoscopy (I agreed, good to get checked) * After the procedure "all looked good" * 2 Weeks later I still have the hemorrhoids * I call the office, to speak to Dr Soloway, I receive a call back from the nurse for a recommendation to go see another practice. Next, I get debt collectors calling less than 6 months after, I received no bills... from three different agencies... (This part is a Yale mess not Dr Soloway's office) Regardless the process was a bad experience...

I have never had such a caring, brilliant physician who treats me with respect and is never rushed. He is a model physician.

He helped me but I don't think he liked me. His partners were nice, I have seen them in the past.

I saw Dr. Soloway on a referral from my boss, also a doctor. I had two procedures done and have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Soloway and his staff. I highly recommend this office

Gregory Soloway has been my doctor since I was 16 years of age, at which time I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, a disease that was often mis-diagnosed at that time. My disease was very severe, and still is 17 years later...seems like a lifetime. Soloway always has great bed side manners and is extremely proffesional. My disease has no cure but he has done as much as he could have possibly done. I would highly recommend this doctor.
