Dr. Gregory Kenneth Suelzle, MD

I thought I had posted a review back when he "fired" me in 2018. Let me preface by saying I am not bitter or angry, but you need to know the type of man you are going to be dealing with. For many years we had a great relationship. I was even friends with his wife Shelby outside of the clinic. One day he came in angry saying he found through a CURES report that my psychiatrist was prescribing meds he did not agree with. He gave me an ultimatum - let him prescribe and control my psych meds, or be terminated. I explained to him I see numerous specialists because they are SPECIALISTS. I would not go to a psychiatrist for pain meds, or visa versa. He then told me I was terminated, and asked me to leave giving me NO RX of pain meds I had been on for YEARS. My husband was with me the ENTIRE time.VERY dangerous. Thankfully my PCP prescribed until I found a new pain MD. I was so angered that I filed a formal complaint with the Ca. medical board. When I requested and received my records, shock… was an understatement! This man FALSIFIED LEGAL MEDICAL RECORDS saying I "refused" a prescription. A physician takes an oath to do no harm. His actions went above and beyond. If I had the finances to do so, I would have sued him. Sadly he got away with this egregious act. Just know this Dr. is controlling and a liar. Period. You can make up your own minds. God bless!

After seeing many specialists and spine doctors I was recommended to Dr. Suelzle. He was the only one to figure out what was wrong with my back and after the first injections for the first time I was able to sit without a backrest. He dealt with the real problem with out pain medications. None of the doctors I had seen took this approach. I would totally recommend him as he carefully listens to your problems you’re facing. ????

We've all been there waiting countless time at the doctor's office. Regardless of how simple or complex our lives are-we do have lives. I'm a disabled senior with several health issues. Consequently, have seen my share of doctors (so you count the hours of waiting.) Dr. Suelzle is the only doctor I haven't had to wait to be seen for my appointments. He actually asks questions, listens to your concerns, & provides excellent care. His staff is professional, courteous, & Spanish speaking. Remarkable-yes. Works for me!

For no apparent reason, other than his irrational fear of some regulatory commission finding he 'over-prescribed' his patients; I had my morphine CUT from 120 to 90. With 120 = 4/day I had discretion. With 3/day I have no discretion. I was OUT of Rx on Tues 12/1. I saw Dr. on Wed. 12/2 . I went to CostCo Rx and was told "OUT" of Morphine until following Monday 12/7. So the soonest I'll get my PAIN meds is Tuesday 12/8 = 7 FULL DAYS with out pain medication. I think it is cruel and thoughtless. Also, I tripped and violently fell on 06/03/2015. Dr. S was informed and he never sent me for x-ray / mri, etc. I went from wheel chair to a walker to a cane. I still walk with a limp and cane and it's been 7 months. Thanks for nothing, D-O-K-T-O-R.

I can't speak to how "good" of a Dr. Mr. Suelzle is. I can speak to how poorly he listens and how disappointed I was with his "bedside" manner, so to speak. My wife has 3 different incurable fatal diseases so we are very well educated when it comes to working with and communicating with specialists. My wife's pain managment Dr. retired and we are looking for a new specialist to help her through the pain she lives with. Dr. Suelzle appeared less than interested in why we were there. He didn't pay close attention to her history. He didn't listen closely to what she or I had to say. And he dismissed us out of hand when he decided that her previous Dr.'s treatment of her was not what should be done. Her previous pain specialist had 38 years + treating patients. Dr. Suelzle has less than half that. But his ego seems to be double that of any physician we have seen. For those that like him and have a successful Dr. patient relationship with him...good for you. If you are a… patient that requires that a Dr. actually listen to your full story before he or she makes a decision...don't waste your time here.

Went in to see this Dr for my first time, all he did was sterotype me and turned me away from the help I was looking to get. Not so good of a Dr.

I was in pain, but my Doctor could not get me an appointment soon enough, So I called Dr. Suelzle's office and they gave me an appointment for the SAME DAY I CALLED.I was immediately given a detailed questionaire to fill out, which gave me a chance to organize my thoughts prior to being seen by the Doctor, and less than 5 minutes later I was seeing Dr. Suelzle, who carefully listened to my story and diagnosed my pain problem.THANK YOU DR SUELZLE.

I hurt my knee and hip while training for a marathon. I was told I would have to have arthroscopic knee surgery by another Doctor, but Dr. Suelzle suggested some knee and hip injections instead.I didn't think it would work, because I didn't feel much during the injection, but several days later all my pain went away, and I was able finish my marathon several weeks later.
