Dr. Gregory Charles Taylor, MD

I left my hometown, Flint, Michigan to pursue college and adventure in Hawaii. After a circuitous journey which led me out of college, a multitude of various jobs including an eight year career as an ambulance paramedic, I returned to college and medical school in Honolulu.

After completing my training in Cleveland, I returned to practice in Hawaii, started my family, and was fortunate enough to open a new hospital in Waimea. After five years, our family moved to Oregon, and are happy we did!


About my practice

Being part of a large group with a varied but somewhat narrow practice in Honolulu, it was wonderful to become one of two members of the anesthesia department in a small yet well staffed, rural hospital, with great experience in inpatient, outpatient, GI, thoracic, general, OB/GYN, plastic, ENT, orthopedic, and ENT surgeries for both adult and children.

Currently, I have a concentration in outpatient anesthesia which I find exciting and challenging, and allows me to also …further my interests in pediatric and regional anesthesia.How I thrive

I enjoy most sports, especially swimming, bicycling, and have recently begun triathlons. I have been the anesthesia coordinator for Kaiser Permanente Northwest's nationally acclaimed Community Surgery Day; our Ambulatory Surgery Center personnel and volunteer physicians provide otherwise unavailable care to uninsured local residents. My family and I are also volunteers at the Oregon Food Bank.
