Dr. Greta Taitelbaum, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Taitelbaum’s for several years now. She has always been a wonderful doctor...very knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I was very surprised to read other reviews of poor bed-side manner, to which I strongly disagree. I consider myself a high-maintenance person that holds myself and others to high standards. Dr. T has always provided exceptional care and to that I thank her! My stomach does too!

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with the doctor. She has absolutely zero bedside manner and as I was freaking out before a colonoscopy she told me that a mass that they found in my intestines "looked "like cancer. I will never understand why someone would say that without having done any type of testing on it or even starting the procedure. As I was crying hysterically she just looked at me and walked away. After putting in a complaint all of the nurses said that they hear this all the time about her. I understand that she is very smart and supposedly good at what she does but as far as bedside manner goes and the way she interacts with patients, it was horrible.

So, I went for a consult related to the hemorrhoid issue I had as the practice she is part of uses a minimally invasive technique to treat hemorrhoids. She was horribly uninformative. I gained more info from the brochure than from her. When asking a question, she gets all defensive....She is horribly inept. I have seen many doctors in my time and have found her to be the absolute worst. Even her medical assistant seemed embarrassed by her responses. Don't waste your time or money.

Had a very good experience. Was able to get a same day appointment for an issue, despite having not seen her for several years. Minimal wait time and she was knowledgeable and listened well to the issues.

On my first visit to Dr. Taitelbaum, in '91 (diagnosed with severe Crohn's Disease in '85), I initially felt that she lacked a warm, bedside manner, which is important to me. However, I immediately sensed how knowledgeable & proactive she was so I elected to stay with her, one of the best decisions that I've ever made! My only regret is that she left my HMO several years ago & just as the doc before her, my new Gastro lacked her energy & efficiency & would do little more than send me for, often unnecessary, endless tests, Btw...I would learn that Dr. Taitelbaum did have a very warm side to her & most importantly, that she deeply cared about her patients, it just took a little time for this to become apparent. She went above & beyond to find the latest treatments & often had to fight the bureaucratic red-tape to achieve these goals. Most doc's would give up...not her! I will forever hold her in high regard.

Greta Taitelbaum is probably the most medically incompetent and arrogant MDs I've had. Avoid her.

During my first visit, Dr. T looked at the questionnaire and said she was going to follow her procedure and send me for a colonoscopy. SHe didn't ask any further questions and sent me off to make an appt. $600 later and 3 tests, no results, and during follow-up appt... she had nothing to add. In fact, she couldn't even recommend a less gas-causing fiber supplement but just handed me an internet print out of a new diet to try. SHe was trying to rush me out of the appointment and didn't want to help or answer any further questions but simply offered to send me for more tests if I wasn't satisfied. DO NOT see her if you actually want someone to listen to you and help you.

Horrible experience during colonoscopy. I believe she is incompetent. To add insult to injury, she is rude and arrogant.

The best experience that I have had with any Doctor and their staff.Extremely courteous, friendly and warm.I would recommend this doctor to anyone that wants to be treated nicely by a doctor who is on top of her game.
