He completed one year of general practice residency at Truman Medical Center. By partaking in continuing education, he stays abreast current dental trends and technologies which further reinforces his commitment to excellence in dentistry.
He is currently serving as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve Dental Corps and was mobilized twice after the 9/11 disaster. He stays active in the community by assisting the Red Cross where he helped organize food drives after the devastation in his native island of Haiti. He also volunteers his time in humanitarian missions - the most recent being in Central America and the Caribbean.

Fluent in Spanish, French and Creole, Dr. de Laurent enjoys travelling, sports and reading.
