Dr. Gunta Alberts Wheeler, MD

I visited your docs in for my 2 year old and it was by far the worst experience I ever had with a doctor. Dr. Wheeler was rude and insensitive towards myself and my child. When I asked questions that any concerned parent would ask, she would respond with an attitude/smart remark as if I was an idiot. For example, when I asked if I should expect swelling or soreness from the shot he had in his leg she responded with “what do you think? It’s a shot. I mean what kind of question is that?”. She wouldn’t allow me to get my prescriptions where I always get them because they were about to close, so she sent them to a different pharmacy so that I could get them that night. Out of 4 prescriptions, 2 of them were not available until Monday, one of them was not covered by insurance, and to make matters worse, she never asked me if my child was allergic to any prescriptions, and prescribed him an antibiotic that he is allergic to. She never even discussed the prescriptions with me before sending… me out the door and I felt so intimidated to ask any questions because of her rude responses throughout the visit. The pharmacist called to have her send over a different prescription. He always does well with amoxicillin, but instead of prescribing him an antibiotic in a class that he isn’t allergic to she told the pharmacist to tell me to call my pediatrician in the morning. The pharmacist said she was extremely rude to him over the phone as well and he was confused as to why she wouldn’t send a different prescription (probably bc they were closing and she wanted to go home). This entire experience was awful. What doctor doesn’t ask if there’s any allergies to medicine? And her attitude was horrible. I will NEVER go back.

I'm not sure what I was expecting at my first visit to Your Docs In but I was so surprised at the professional, compassionate Dr. who treated us, Dr. Wheeler. We came in 15 minutes before they closed and could not have been treated with anymore kindness or knowledge. She diagnosed my daughter and made sure to get us out in just enough time to make it to the pharmacy before they closed. The nurse was also a gem. We will go back.

While Dr. Wheeler effectively treated our 4 year old daughter, she treated her with zero compassion and was extremely rude to my husband and I. The rest of the staff was Phenomenal!! Very, very sweet. This was at Your Docs In, Ocean City.

My wife and I went to Your Docs In today in West OceanCity. We'd both been having deep coughing, wheezing and headaches. Since I got sick first my wife said I gave it to her! Anyway, we were both seen by Dr. Gunta Wheeler and we're amazed at her compassion for us and her knowledge/diagnosis. She gave me a shot and gave my wife a breathing treatment along with some scripts. My wife remembered seeing this doctor three years ago and was very happy to see her still here. It's now 7 hours since she treated us and we are feeling much, much better. Wonderful physician!

Dr. Wheeler is one of the most thorough and caring doctors I have ever experienced. Was treated quickly and with compassion. She really listened, was extremely personable and quickly diagnosed and treated me. She's an amazing doctor!

I saw Dr. Wheeler at Your Docs In and received excellent care for my sinus infection. She started me on a regiment of allergy medication and it has helped me tremendously. I saw her for another visit when my lung was hurting. She took her time to explain what she thought was happening and answered all of my questions. She also told me about the Greek yogurt (Greek Gods) - lol. I have actually been buying it regularly.

She gave me an antibiotic I was already on but wasn't working. Never explained the meds she prescribed. More interested in discussing Greek yoga which I hate. Usually the staff at you docs in has been very good but not with gunta wheeler. She does not listen. Good luck when you get her. Jj
