Dr. Gustavo Alejan Gonzalez, MD

Lobby is disgusting. Smells so bad, my spouse had to leave and wait in the car. Rooms are also dirty.

Last August, Dr. Gonzalez examined my 6-yr-old daughter's eyes and diagnosed her vision as 20/200 (legally blind!) in one eye. Naturally, this news was a shock to me, but Dr. Gonzalez kindly and patiently answered all my questions and laid out a treatment plan. Thankfully, after following his instructions, her sight is now 20/40-50 and may still be improving. I am very happy with Dr Gonzalez, his very friendly and professional staff, and his office in general. He is very sweet with children and professional, friendly, and solicitous. I normally expect Doctors to attempt as close to a one-word answer as possible to any questions, but Dr. Gonzalez is thorough, congenial, and comforting in his responses. His staff is courteous and fun, and very helpful in navigating the insurance world (a weakness for me).Most importantly, my normally shy daughter is at ease and happy to visit him monthly and is flourishing under his care.

My 5-year old son needed a follow-up eye exam after his initial pre-kindergarten physical. At my pediatricians recommendation, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gonzalez. We arrived on time and were seen almost immediately. The office is clean, modern and nicely decorated. I was very impressed with the way in which Dr. Gonzalez interacted with my son. Often Doctors can come off as awkward and uncomfortable when dealing with young children, but the complete opposite was true of Dr. Gonzalez. He was able to get my son to focus on the various eye tests without making him uncomfortable. Dr. Gonzales playful manner and high-fives made the visit enjoyable and before my son knew it he had completed the required tests and we were on our way. Happily my son did not require glasses, but it looked as if Dr. Gonzales provides a huge selection of frames by several different makers. I highly recommend Dr. Gonzalez for all of your pediatric eye care needs.

Dr. Gonzalez is courteous and professional. Answers questions in detail, does not rush. Is good diagnostician. Would recommend him to anyone.
