Dr. Gustavo N Mongelos

I used to go to him back in 2012 when I was straight out of college and naive about my oral health needs (always get a second opinion). He said I needed to get three or four fillings on my molars. I never had any pain but he said he had to be done early. He then said that I had TMJ and needed braces after he overfilled one of my molars where my bite was screwed up. For five years I have lived with his mess up (i think he did it purposely so he could refer me to one of his orthodontic colleagues). When I was literally only biting on one tooth and asked him to fix it he charged me for the visit. Even after he tried to fix it, it was still never the same. He said it was messed up bc my bite was already messed up. Since then I have developed jaw problems and I am pretty sure that I never had any cavities. He just saw I was young and took his word for granted. He drilled my teeth out for his benefit. He is from latin america and services this community. I trusted him bc of one positive yelp… review but regret ever going to him. He will try to get any kind of work from you and when I called to get my xrays and history from there, they never called me back. Besides that his handwriting is illegible so my docs after could never read it. I think he is a crook and bc of his shaddy work, I have TMJ and have to get my teeth completely fixed. Do not go here. Do your research and find a better dentist. There are better ones around that will not try to get you for your money and care about your dental needs. ** BTW my gums had slight recession in 2013 since he overfilled or messed it up. Always had healthy gums and no recession in my life but after going to him it started a yr or two later. He also has no board certifications. There are other dentists who have better credentials.
