I recommend a second opinion. My pain complaints were ignored after surgery. I was told I had a pulled muscle

I had a robotic hysterectomy by Dr. Boike. He took everything including lymph nodes to be tested. After my surgery I developed lymphodema. When I read my report, it said he took 11 lymph nodes on the left side and 9 on the right. When I told him I read that in the report, he said I don't know how many I took. I just grabbed them. Go see your regular doctor for the lymphodema. When I did, they told me it was for life. He pawned his errors off on someone else and did not take responsibility for his mistakes. Come on, he is a gynecologist oncologist. He had to have experience with lymph nodes. I now have one leg that swells up big and the other one is normal size!

He did not stop by the day of surgery prior to my vulvectomy nor did I see him or anyone from his staff at any time the day of my surgery. I had asked if I should bring a pad and was told I didn't need to. That wasn't true. I received no postoperative instructions whatsoever. I had an infection by the time I arrived home but got no assistance for several days and had to see his nurse Practioner who had been responsible for getting me the postoperative instructions but had neglected to do so. That was 7 months ago and the original area that a biopsy showed was precancerous is still there and now I have to go back to him. No other doctor wants to see you in such a case. I am miserable with no other options.

Dr. Boike not only treats the disease, he treats the patient. There are many facets to cancer and he addresses them all. I have had the privilege of meeting several other patients and their smiles are a resounding approval of his care. His staff is a reflection of how his office is managed. Their kindness and willingness to assist is a blessing.

He is a vewry good dr. The hospital wait was a bit long.

Dr. Boike is not honest. He told my family information after my surgery that was not exactly true. He performed surgery on me, and I never saw him. He didn't meet with me while I was in the hospital to explain what had happened. I find it hard to trust someone like that.

Dr Boike was very helpful in explaining everything to us about Lorna's uterine cancer. The robotic removal of the cancer went very well. Her recovery time was fast. Dr. Boike is a very smart caring personable person. we would highly recommend him to everybody

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR my mom wnt to him when she had caner he gave her a surgery that olny had a 20% chance of working without telling her she died a year later from it

My mother was a patient of Dr. Boike. He is a great surgeon however his RN Denise is terrible. My mother is older and has some comprehension problems. Denise is VERY inconsiderate and rude. I cannot believe the way she treated my mom, not only did it feel like she was avoiding her by not returning phone calls, she spoke down to her (making my mom feel dumb). Not everyone is a RN and fluent in medicine! Denise should be absolutely ashamed of herself. My niece is a RN and she became a RN to help people. She works in a clinic and said she would be fired for doing/not doing the things Denise does. Denise needs help. Unfortunately, despite the fact we like Dr. Boike we will be finding a new doctor. Trust me, don't leave your loved ones in the hands of this RN or you'll be sorry.
