Dr. Guy Benjamin Mulligan, MD

Dr Mulligan is new to me . On my first visit he went through my chart back to 2012 he is already making changes to meds that are having a positive effect. He is very knowledgeable and very kind. He responds to MyChart messages in timely manner and explains things very well. I am very glad I was referred specifically to him.

Doc is rather lackadaisical and so is his staff. He doesn't seem to care about you or your medical issues. He'd rather pass you off than do some creative thinking, or work towards alternative solutions. You are a number to him and you feel like a number. Quality care is not found here. I read someone thought he was bought out by a drug company that could be true. Though the Cleveland Clinic is a teaching facility, the docs are often treated to training seminars AKA paid vacations, etc. IDK I only know that he didn't try very hard with me.

I've seen this doc for several years, follow up is non existent, his staff is rude, I've requested he take me off one medication that was making me sick. According to the drug manufacturer itself the symptoms I was experiencing were reactions and get off the drug. I had to go to a different endo who was shocked. I feel better. This guy Guy has either been bought out by pharmaceutical company or doesn't care. I'm in Ohio every month. His provider care sucked. He doesn't care, it's all about billing, but he's nice enough. He's irresponsible and so is his staff.

Dr Mulligan really listens to what was going on and how I feel. He discusses our plan for treatment with me and takes my concerns and wishes into consideration. I really feel involved in my care plan. We discuss pros and cons of different options and he is willing to talk through information that I bring to him that I have found online or heard anecdotally and explain how it might relate to my scenario. I have never before felt so heard by a doctor or so involved in my own medical care. He tends to run pretty far behind schedule, but I know this is because he takes the time to listen to his patients. I would take a doctor who listens to their patients and takes some extra time with them and runs late over a doctor that rushes patients out the door any day of the week.

Dr. Mulligan is nice but very difficult to contact and does not respond in a timely manner. I'm unsure whether he takes on too many patients or if there's lack of motivation. After one visit, one round of blood tests, and one unsuccessful medication, he was quick to give up on my case. I'm very disappointed and very discouraged.

Dr. Mulligan was thorough, professional, and explained information in an easy to understand way that was reassuring and made me feel confident in making decisions concerning treatment.
