Dr. Gwendolyn Laverne Dunmore, MD

After surgery, I experienced complications and suffered significant blood loss. Dr. Dunmore left me in the hospital in recovery not knowing how the surgery went and what was going wrong. I had hospital staff track her down (she left for the day) and once I spoke with her by phone and asked what was going on with me she was EXTREMELY nasty (as if I was bothering her) and raised her voice. I was scared and bewildered and she did nothing to address my concerns or calm my fears. She made me feel awful and left me in tears!

I had a miscarriage and had to go see her for a follow up and blood redrawn for my HCGB lab work. After seeing her which by the way took more than an hour in the waiting area. I called her office repeatedly to get my blood work results for two weeks no one called me back as they promised or even had the time to talk to me on the phone. Then finally when I got Elizabeth on the phone she told me "you are pregnant" Being a nurse I literally screamed and told her that yes my lab work will still show HCG levels still but the number should be returning back to normal level. She had no idea why I had called. O and then when I tried to contact the doctor on their "portal" I never received a courtesy reply to both my calls and emails to her. After having a miscarriage I will expect her office to at least be sympathetic but NO WAY!! Please dont bother going here they only want $$$ thats all.

I was recommended to Dr. Dunmore by a co-worker and have been a patient of hers for approx. 20 years and find that she is a caring and efficient doctor. She delivered two of my grandbabies and have treated my 90 year (young) mother. I wouldn't look anywhere else for a GYN doctor. She's the best!!!

Dr. Dunmore gives sensitive care. She stays current and offers treatment plans best matched to patient needs.

Dr. Dunmore is great, the wait is ridiculous over an hour in most cases so don't plan to go around lunch time and make it back within the hour....so not happening.

Dr. Dunmore is an excellent physician. She has been my GYN for approximately six years. While I trust her diagnosis and think her bedside manner is great, I have recently decided to find a new GYN. In truth, I have been considering making a change for a few years, but have been reluctant because I didn't want to start the search for a new physician. The two primary reasons for my decision to find a new doctor are: (1) the office staff and (2) the wait time. In my experience, her staff does not follow through on actions such as calling prescriptions into the pharmacy after they have said they would and returning phone calls when they say they will. In addition, I repeatedly have to wait at least 30-45 minutes after my appointment time before I am seen by Dr. Dunmore. After six years of this type of customer "service," it is time for a change. Time to find a physician and office staff that respect my patronage, time and health.

I am writing on behalf of my wife and this doctor is unprofessional who really disgusts my wife. She has no manners and have attitude problem with my wife, after my wife complained to me, I had to go in and verify myself on her appointment day. She was obviously indirectly rude by her response and I had to ask her if this is how she attend or speak to all her patient. My wife did not have any choice but to keep seeing her because she could not leave to see other doctor because doctors have their policy stating they cannot see pregnant women after certain months into their pregnancy. Her so-called husband whom they both practice together does not fair better himself. In addition, you need to keep track of your payments with them because they will try to pile payment you had already paid onto your bill. I will advise to find someone else as an OB.

I was referred to Dr. Dunmore by my co-worker and immediately appreciated the gentleness and good bedside manner that Dr. Dunmore displays. Though her office staff could use some improvement in the friendliness department, I have enjoyed being a patient at this office.

Excellent doctor, but a VERY LONG wait if the office to be seen. You will spend about 1 hour in the waiting room, so bring something to work on to keep you occupied. This problem should have been resolved by now.

I've been going to Dr. Dunmore for the past five years. She was referred by a co-worker who has been going to her for over fifteen years or more. Dr. Dunmore is very nice, however, the office is very unorganized and it takes for more than an hour to see the doctor with an appointment. Every visit has you sitting for long periods of time which is ridiculous. Nice or not, this isn't professional at all. I will be looking for another doctor.
