What went wrong: the cleaning, polishing and flossing took a total of 15 minutes, almost half the time as usual. She missed flossing some of my teeth. The dentist hit my upper lip with a sharp instrument; I touched my lip with my finger and she told me it wasn't bleeding (no apology though). What would she be like when holding a drill? She brushed fluorine on my upper teeth but forgot my lower ones. That has never happened before. After reviewing my x-rays a second time she said she found a very small cavity between two teeth. She showed me the x-ray but I did not see anything. She also mentioned that there was no snap between those two teeth when flossing (as if the gap was the reason for the cavity???. Lots of people have gaps between their teeth). I picked this dentist because she accepted HMO. However, I am purchasing a PPO policy so we can return to our dentist of 20 years.
