Dr. Gwendolyn Maria Yates

Dr Yates without my permission or consent as to what she was doing forced her finger up my cervix and bounced it off my baby's head. This served no purpose, but as she withdrew it, her action dislodged the mucus plug and I bled out the mucus plug and lots of blood protecting my baby. She was defensive, said she did nothing wrong, and took no responsibility for potentially causing a spontaneous abortion of my baby (by dislodging the mucus plus, one can induce a spontaneous abortion). Her response was just the opposite of what it should have been: said she did nothing wrong. Well I never asked her to jam her finger into my uterus and I was in shock that she did so. I was flabbergasted by her immature and petty responses to the injury she cause me and my baby. Her arrogance was also shocking. If I were you, I would steer clear of this woman with a 10 foot pole, and if this happens to you, don't say I didn't warn you. Sure she can be nice when all is well when she wants to be… (until disaster strikes of course), but I am not looking for nice, I am looking for skilled.

Dr. Yates was literally one of my favorite GYN's, EVER! I have been to many since I was a teenager. The medical treatment and services that I encountered over the years were stellar! I was always very pleased with the bed side manner of Dr. Yates, it is old fashion in nature. Dr. Yates was my Gynecologist for many years. Every single visit I had, she was very empathetic to my situation and my feelings. She always remembered my significant other, my work, my personal situations and concerns. She always had such positive words, whenever I faced some stressful health situations. I had much pelvic pain and she did exploratory surgery to help me find the cause of this one-going pain. During this surgery she also found that my appendix was inflamed. She went our in to the waiting room spoke with the person that brought me and they made they decision to remove this right then. Dr. Yates coordinated with a another surgeon for the removal of this, so I wouldnâ??t have to have a separate… surgery or an emergency surgery, if my appendix ended up bursting. I also had another surgery for pre-cancerous cell removal that she performed with ease. I have had many gynecological problems since I was very young and she was the absolute best Doctor that I have seen. I literally cried when I found out that she was closing her practice to spend more time with her own children. I have followed her in business endeavors, since she closed her practice in 2009. The OB/GYN community lost one of the personal practices best doctors when this happened. Dr. Yates then performed minimally invasive cosmetic procedures at a media-spa. Dr. Yates was extremely passionate about incorporating health, wellness and beauty into the care of her patients while she was the media-spa. Dr. Yates is now Co-Founder and Medical director of A Change of Art with her husband. I can not give Dr. Yates I higher, glowing recommendation.

Dr. Gwendolyn Yates is not just a caring person she is an exceptional physician. She has been my doctor since my pregnancy with my first son in 2007. My husband and I decided to have our children later in life rather than earlier. Dr. Yates was extremely supportive and attended to the needs of our high-risk pregnancy. Dr. Yates talked to me about my concerns regarding my pregnancy and she was thorough and consistent throughout. I canâ??t thank her enough; she literally saved my second sonâ??s life in 2009. It was her professional training and innate intuition that prompted her to pick up the phone and schedule the necessary appointment herself that I had missed. I had an emergency delivery that same day. She is a beautiful person, the best physician you can hope for and I will always be grateful. Everyday I look at my son, I know Dr. Yates is a blessing and she is doctor by the grace of God.

Gwendolyn was very helpful and courteous, and she listened to all of my concerns!

Dr. Yates provided excellent care during both of my pregnancies. She eased my concerns after having a miscarriage with a calming bedside manner. We are thankful for her expertise and kind spirit.

I will always be grateful to Dr Yates. She saved both my life and the life of my son. She did an emergency C-section through which she stayed calm and reassuring. I always felt like I was in good hands through my prenatal care down to the birth. She was a good listener and I always felt like she spent ample time with me.

Dr. Yates is a compassionate and wonderful doctor. She delivered all of my children and we are forever grateful for her being apart of our lives.

I suffer with fibroids my entire life. I came to Dr Yates for a second opinion. As soon as I walked in the office her staff put me at ease. The wait time was minimal and her nurse called me back promptly. As soon as Dr Yates walked in I felt better. She treated me like a family member. She gave me her honest opinion based on my sonogram. She was short and rude with me when I voiced my desire to have my baby without the use of an epidural. Sliding the book "What to expect when expecting" to me across the table, sitting with her arms crossed, and stating "This is 2007, there's a reason why people have created epidurals, I suggest you read this book." I was so offended by her bedside manor that I left her practice and found another OBGYN. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone!
