Dr. Gyorgy A Sagi

I was at a very difficult period in my life. I had a spinal cord tomorrow and I could hardly walk which made me very depressed . When I first saw him he put me on medication . I later had another appointment with him after my spinal cord tumor resection so that I could get a refill on my meds . I couldn't yet travel by public transportation, so I took a car service from The Bronx and hit a lot of traffic on the way there, so I called Dr Sagi to inform him that I was going to be late and if he prefer I can reschedule. Dr Reibel got unreasonably angry at me and told me to find another psychiatrist and cut me off my medication abruptly which made me go through all kinds of changes, and I am lucky to have come out of it well enough to write this review . The man is very rude and unprofessional, and apparently he is not well himself, and should not be practicing on other people who are not well. Please stay away. A Lopez

Didn't want to allow other specialists any say in my medical care, and I mean in their own specialties. Showed no consideration for me as a person, shouting me down and calling me names. Eventually went no-contact, with zero warning or explanation, abandoning my care. Would not recommend.

Have been seeing him for a few years now. He will not coddle you but is incredibly sympathetic and compassionate nevertheless. May not be to everyone's taste. I find that he is able to keep me in line whenever I start a self-pity spiral during sessions. Great wit, highly intellectual and manages to catch all of the metaphors I use to make talking about difficult things easier. If you want someone who always agrees with you, this is not the psychiatrist for you. But if you want someone who challenges you to be better and helps you to focus on the bigger picture, he might well be able to help. I have posted similar reviews to other sites because I find the ones left by one-time patients incredibly unfair.

Avoid! Modern-day incarnation of Dr. Mengele. Shoddy billing practices! Pay attention to the other reviewers who seem to have had similar experiences with Sagi. Plenty of other options out there.

I won't recommend him to anyone.

This Doctor does not care about the person coming for help and makes it obvious, he was very rude to me for no reason, was a horrible experience and made me feel alone and not worth anybody's help in the time when i needed it the most. i strongly recommend not to see this doctor and save additional pain and aggravation in a vulnerable time and rather see someone that actually has compassion for people in need and isnt afraid to show it

this doctor has a very bad tamper terrible attitude! all he cares is about money
