Dr. Harry Michael Curtis, MD

He is very rude, arrogant and dismissive. I think he must fancy himself to be the main character from House because he starts making diagnoses without asking many questions and interrupts every time you open your mouth to speak. Initially I thought he was being thorough about explanations and very informative. But as time went on it appeared that he probably just liked to hear himself speak. I couldn't even get out questions or explanations of my issues out without interruption. Not to mention I found out that there was a chance of a serious drug reaction he should have warned me to be looking out for in what he prescribed combined with my regular meds. Went to him for a condition that had been bothering me for a time. He gave a basic solution that didn't seem to fully cover what was going on and told me to come back in a few months. I left feeling like as long as he was my doctor I would never get well. I went to urgent care later instead of coming back because I was really… suffering but didn't want to suffer in the ER wait in case it wasn't serious as I thought. The doctor came in, I described what was going on SHE didn't interrupt me like him. And before the exam she could tell I wasn't okay, it was just that obvious. On the other hand even upon giving me an exam said he didn't see anything wrong. Unlike him she validated something WAS wrong and didn't appear like she wanted to escape the exam room through the whole appointment. I was given immediate medical care there and sent home with prescriptions that actually gave relief. Told me if the prescriptions didn't improve things go to the ER. After less than 24 hours I was experiencing some type of relief but this man was going to let me suffer MONTHS before checking in again on a condition that was serious. Dr.Curtis absolutely wasted my time while acting like I was wasting what little time of HIS he decided to stay in the exam room. It's clear he just doesn't care.

Alright so this doctor is so rude and is unprofessional. Being a doctor, they should be polite and patience with the patient. I took my dad to this doctor in the heartland center. We waited for him, and once he came in he is like oh this and that and he didn't ask if my dad is suffering from any other problem. He just talks and talks and doesn't listen to the patient. He is rushed in getting out of the room for other patient and when my dad point out that he is having other health issues, he just slammed his laptop in the desk and closed the door so hard. He yelled back saying why would u tell me about ur problem as I'm about to walk out. When my dad was sharing his problem to the doctor, he just walked out. Being a doctor, he should allow the patient to share his ongoing problem not just talk talk talk and not let the patient talk. He really scared me. I would not recommend this doctor at all.

Alright this doctor was working in heartland center located in devon and broadway in Chicago when we visited him. Me and my dad was waiting for him, he came rushing in the room and just blabbered on whatever he had to say and when he was done, he was opening the door to leave. My dad expressed that he is having pain then this doctor got so mad. He slammed his laptop on the desk and closed the door and started yelling at my dad saying why are you telling me this as im going out. As a doctor, your job is to listen to patients issue, you took an oath to take care of patient and he didnt even gave us an opportunity to express our issue. As my dad was telling about his problem, he just walked out. Is this professional? Is this what a doctor supposed to act like? Doctors like him should never be allowed to be near any patient. I was super scared after his action. This is unethical behavior and i recommend anyone sending their loved ones to see this doctor to be careful.

Wait time was a little long, but it is a busy office. Office was clean and staff was nice and helpful. Dr. Curtis was informative and had great bedside manner. I was referred to a specialist for further testing, so I did not get a diagnosis, but it's a start towards one!
