Dr. Haichun Xie, MD

My husband and I compared 5 different Obs for my first pregnancy before deciding on our Ob. And we are so so so glad we chose Dr Xie! A few reasons I recommend Dr Xie: 1. Her emergency C-section rate is remarkably low compared with most of obs in the network, and this is the main reason I chose her. In the end, she delivered my 7lb 3oz baby through natural birth, with NO tear! I was able to walk without too much pain a hour later after labor. Both my husband and I felt that our labor experience went as perfect as it could possibly be. And I also recovered very fast during postpartum due to the smooth labor. Can’t thank Dr Xie enough on this. 2. She is very patient and has always been available for me when I have any concerns, which makes feel safe, well cared, and low stress during my pregnancy. For example, there was time I call Dr Xie at 7am in the morning about slow fetus movement. I thought it would went to her voice mail but she picked up the phone herself and talked to me… about the situation. There was also time that I read something online about certain risk during pregnancy, and emailed her a bunch of research papers about the issue. She always replied to me promptly(normally within a few hours) and also discussed with me thoroughly about my concerns in our appointment. She is very patient and I always felt listened. 3. I like her energy and personality. She is direct and straightforward when giving medical advices; but she also has a chill vibe which makes me feel relaxed and positive when planning for my birth. Just a side note, when I was giving birth at Mill-Peninsula birth center, pretty much all the nurses I met praised Dr Xie and mentioned how amazing she is. And after giving birth, when the nurses learned that I had a smooth labor with no tear, two of them even said “Not surprised because it was Dr Xie.”

I have been seeing Dr. Xie for over 6 years. She has been absolutely fantastic with all of my colposcopy procedures, and LEEP procedure, as well as being on top of my abnormal pap smears. She has also seen all the women in my family during each of their pregnancies. I hope to have her as my doctor when I am pregnant and for her to deliver my future kids - because she is that amazing!
