Nice doctor but talked down to my husband when we had questions

He was very nice and calming when talking to me before the procedure, so I initially felt comfortable. But once things got moving, he seemed very rushed and was surprisingly rude to some of the staff around him. It made the environment feel tense and uncomfortable, especially as a patient already feeling nervous. I understand hospitals are busy, but the way staff are treated matters too. Overall, the experience left me disappointed.

I had a long robotic cancer surgery and was very scared about how things might go. The doctor was very clear in explaining everything he was going to do to keep me safe and comfortable the entire time. He explained everything in a kind and non-rushed manner and took all of my concerns very seriously. He was honest with me as far as not making guarantees, that some side effects maybe encountered, but he made it absolutely clear that he would be extremely attentive and would take great care of me. He did just that.

I am an Armenian patient and was extremely disappointed with my experience with this anesthesiologist in Glendale, CA. Given how large the Armenian community is in this area, I expected at least a basic level of cultural awareness and respect. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking. The doctor was trying to make jokes, rushed, and dismissive. My concerns were not taken seriously, and when I tried to ask questions, I felt brushed off and made to feel like I was an inconvenience. There was no effort to explain things clearly or to ease my anxiety before the procedure. As a patient, this experience felt especially disrespectful. Clear communication and trust are critical in healthcare, and I felt neither. I left feeling unheard, uncomfortable, and very disappointed. I would not recommend this provider and hope they work on their bedside manner and how they treat Armenian patients and their families.

Incredibly nice and thorough, and made me feel at ease. We talked for a long time before my surgery and I felt like I forgot all about the surgery. I woke up with no pain at all. He was very reassuring and caring.
