Dr. Hal Wayne Brown, MD

Dr Hal W. Brown and some of the receptionists at the Primary Care for Treasure Coast are just mannerless. They are not only rude, impatient, disrespectful, unprofessional, and impolite to their patients but also very greedy. They asked their patients to pay upfront, although insurance will cover the high cost and later also sent large bills to the patients' insurance (double billing, which is different from a copay). Not a tiny bit of caring for patients can be felt in that office. No wonder the saying goes: such a doctor, such receptionists! A caring doctor's office will impress patients with warm greetings, polite language, professional manners and friendly gesture. In this office, all you feel is they are asking for money, money, money as if they only live and work for money. That's why many people felt this office is only money/profit-driven. They have no respect to patients at all.

I had gone to Dr. Brown due to some serious concerns with my health. I was told I needed to get tests done in the emergency room that they couldn’t do in the office, and that my insurance would cover everything as a regular visit, so I did. Also saw the doctor and everything seemed to go okay. Few weeks later got $800 bill in the mail coded incorrectly! Called the doctors office and they refused to recode even after the billing in the emergency room said it was incorrect and needed to be fixed! Beyond rude to me it was horrifying. I got stuck with the $800 bill and they sent a letter personally signed by Dr. Hal Brown that neither I or any of my family can go back to his office. Sneaky staff and doctor running a scam, I think so! Beware!
