Dr. Hal Jeffrey Levine, MD

I had 2 teeth removed and the entire process was very upfront and professional. Expectations- cost- and workmanship was first class. I highly recommend Dr. Levine if you have a need for Oral surgery.

I had to get my tooth extracted and was referred by my Dentist to Dr Levine. He is a very good physician and made the tooth extraction painless within seconds. I did not even know that my tooth had been extracted; such was the speed. His assistant was awesome as well. What I liked about Dr Levine was that he is VERY GOOD Dr. Additionally, he explained to me about implants and the options available to me. No pressure to go only for implants but discussed logically about the pros and corns of implants and the timing etc. In all a great Doctor and will visit him again if needed.

Dr Levine impressed me when he came out to introduce himself to me before my daughter was put under, before that he had only consulted with my daughter by our choice. I was not pleased with the whole staffs lack of compassion towards parents. I wanted to be with my 18 year old daughter while she went under, it was the first time she had ANY type of medical procedure, and was given the OSHA/HIPA laws of no one being allowed in the room besides the staff. To their defense, I didn't argue when they said no, but I KNOW they were wrong. The environment is not like that of a sterile operating room, they don't wear paper gowns, and no one was any safer, or more knowledgeable than I would have been, holding my daughters' hand as she slept. They also make your child come out of anesthesia, without you there, for 15 min before you can see them. If you haven't been with someone who is coming out of anesthesia, it is a little scary because they say and do things that seem as if they are… conscience, but they actually don't remember anything they do or say about an hour later. That being said, once again, the sense of security a loved one needs in those moments CAN NOT be given by professionals, it requires a loved one. By the time I was allowed to see my child, she was crying and scared. Her reaction was normal, but there was NO NEED for her to sleep and waken without seeing people she felt safe with.I think doctor's and their staff need to remember that they can not replace the security of a loved one being near, with a degree or title. Dr Levine did his job well, and my daughter said he and the nurse were nice, but that didn't stop the fear she had going under or waking up without us near.
