Dr. Hal Bruce Levy, MD

Interesting how my review that I posted about a year ago has now gone missing. Long story short, as a scared teen I was referred to Dr. Levy for an abortion. This was quite awhile ago and coming across him by coincidence recently made me realize that it is time to speak up so others can avoid what happened to me. His office and staff were quite obviously pro-life, offered no emotional support, conducted the abortion in an area that was NOT like any other respectable room with surgical items and vacuum device in full site, did NOT provide me with ANY pain relief at all before, during, or after the procedure, turned on the vacuum device 3x so essentially giving me 3 abortions in one day, left the surgical instruments and the vacuum uncovered for me to see the aftermath, did NOT allow me to lay down afterward in one of the many open rooms but instead made me sit in a chair, did NOT give me info on what to expect in the days to come, did NOT call to check on me or follow up... on and on!… I, to the day, am unable to carry a child to term. And I will not sit idly by in silence as I hear others sing his praises of what is actually a butcher with two faces depending on his agenda! Why was this done to me? I am unsure... maybe to 'teach me a lesson', maybe he/they pocketed the money they saved on the pain killers and proper medicinal supplies, I am not sure. But what I do know is that I have had a lifetime to recover from this and Dr. Hal Levy is NOT who u think he is. Thank God, literally, for the happy and well taken care of patients... my experience was as far from that as one could get. He is extremely fortunate that I am a forgiving person and that I didn't sue him blind, as I am quite sure I am not the only one!

My wife saw Dr. Levy in early pregnancy and he diagnosed it as ectopic and advised ending the pregnancy. He was aggressive and dismissed our questions and concerns, despite the fact that we had no real symptoms of an ectopic other than high hCG levels (which turned out to be in the normal range). He cost us hundreds of dollars in emergency room fees and intense anxiety. We questioned the diagnosis based on basic internet research, and sought a 2nd opinion. Our new OB was confused and baffled by his approach. Thank God we didn't follow his advice. We now have 2 healthy twin boys. I cannot recommend Dr. Levy, both because of his incorrect diagnosis in our case and because of his aggressive approach. If we had not questioned him, the results would've been disastrous and lifelong.

If you are looking for an intelligent, kind, caring doctor who listens to his patient's... look no further. Dr. Levy is the best! He saved my life so I may be a little biased but I honestly believe that I receive the best possible care with Dr. Levy. I highly recommend Dr. Levy!!!

I have been a patient of Dr Levy's for 20 years. He was very compassionate during my miscarriages. I am an American expat living in HK for 13 years now. I still have my annual exams done by Dr. Levy when I come back for home leave. That is how much I trust his care and expertise.

Dr. Levy is the best OB/Gyn I ever gone to. He is knowledgeable, kind and caring. He saved my life! 5 star doctor for sure!

I'm stunned to see the negative reviews about Hal Levy. He has been my OB/GYN for almost 13 years and he is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He helped us through a couple of miscarriages and was incredibly supportive....he would call me at home in the evenings to see how I was doing. He was genuinely thrilled for us when we finally had our son and delivered him even when he was not on call. I have recommended many friends and they have all loved him as much as I do. His staff has never been anything but friendly and helpful. It's very hard to believe what people are saying about this wonderful man! I dread to day he retires and I have to find a new doctor.
