Dr Starnes diagnosed me correctly.and provided excellent care ,follow up,compassion and excellence. He is knowledgeable in many areas of medicine.i would recommend him to anyone that wanted a ,Professional, thorough ,exact diagnosis and needs surgery.He is the best!

I have had several surgeries over the years and found him to be very competent and compassionate. When I had my last surgery in2016 because he took an extra step and did a biopsy it showed I had cancer.. He probably saved my life because I had no symptoms and the cancer would have progressed. I can't thank him enough.

Dr. Starnes has done two surgeries on me. One was a very complex, rare hernia operation. He impressed me with his knowledge of cutting edge treatments, his lack of ego to call in a specialist to assist, and his warm, caring personality that put me at ease, informed me of exactly what was happening and gave me confidence in a trying time. I would have thought a doctor of his calibre would be stand-offish and clinical- but he wasn't. He gave me all the scientific/medical info, but smiled and boiled it down with a reassuring confidence. His office always sees you promptly. He has just the right mix of honest down-home doctor with skilled, knowledgeable surgeon. Strongly recommend

Dr. Starnes has done various surgeries for me over a twenty year period. From the start I have told him how much I appreciate his expertise and his sensibilities. He is brilliant and caring, a superb practitioner and person--everything one hopes for in a surgeon.

This is a brief summary of my experience. On the first visit i spent less than 2 minutes with the doctor. He was obviously in a hurry. On the day of surgery I layed face down (and told not to move) on the operating table for 40 minutes while he saw at least 6 other patients. When I went back to get the stitches out I waited for 45 minutes while others who had come in after me got called in. Since I had no idea what time or who thier appointment was with I said nothing until one woman who came in a 11:05 for an 11:00 appointment go called in at 11:20. At that point I left. Either the office staff or the doctor or both have absolutely no regard for the patients only thier co pay.

Not a good experience from the start. mis communication about my biopsy appt. when we finally worked it out he was late then rushed the procedure because he was behind I still didnt get any information back about my tests . He was out of the office for over a week no info about even my bloodwork that was done a month ago. I just am not happy and if surgery is necessary will look for another surgeon. He was nice but not sympathetic or caring

didn't do a follow up or didn't send the results to my primary Doctor. Then when my Doctor asked for results took about two to three weeks to get it to them. The results of my test not to good, had to find another surgeon.

Professional in a personal way and manner, which is admirable. Diagnosing issues seem very accurate and punctual. Waiting time can be a half hour or possibly more, and sometimes way less, depending on which day patient is there, and how many physicians are practicing there that day. Follow up visits are pleasant, and results are accurate. Dr.Starnes is quick, motivated, personal, and caring as a professional. He's accurate and decisive. Only thing that bugs me, is that when Holly calls me from the office, my voice mail picks it up, and I call her back immediately, and she rarely answers/is available/or calls back. Other than this, the office practice is friendly, professional, busy, and pleasant.

Dr. Starnes came highly recommended by numerous people, and they were right on the mark!! He moves faster than any person I've ever seen, which would normally put me off, but he is so competent in his diagnostics and surgery, that I didn't even mind. Very short about his explanations, but also very confident (not arrogant at all). Happy to answer all of my questions, as well as my family's. His staff is extremely courteous and competent. They return calls in a timely manner, and fit me in whenever necessary. Completely & thoroughly gave me instructions and expectations. Dr. Starnes has done two operations on me in the last few months, when I've never had surgery before. This man put me at ease, and did an excellent job. He has my complete trust.
