My 9 month old son had an inner ear infection, so I scheduled an appointment with Dr Hamzeh for the next available day. Her office schedule is slightly less than accommodating and my son was forced to suffer three more days before she could see him. After seeing him she prescribed him a heavy dose of amoxicillin. After three day of amoxicillin, he began to break out in red bumps all over his body, that were drastically worse around his face. I paged her and about 20 minutes later she called me back. I said I was concerned and wanted to know what it was and what to do. She informed me just to give him benadryl. The bumps started to heal and then came back twice as bad. So I called dr Hamzeh again and informed her that he was still pulling on his ear and crying and that the reaction had spread more and was seemingly worse. Dr Hamzeh informed me that she doesn't get paid to answer my "stupid" questions and that my son just had a "stupid little rash" (that she had never even seen). She was… rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. She informed me that calling her twice in one week is "ridiculous" and "unnecessary". I was at a loss of words since I had never been spoken to in this manner by anyone that I PAID for services. I informed her that I had tried to get him into her office and avoid calling her outside of work but that they couldn't see my son and he was suffering. I also informed her that the hospital stuff as well as pharmacist had questioned her prescribing him a steroid when she hadn't seen him to be sure that it was necessary and asked if I should be concerned and she told me I ask too many questions and hung up on me. Following this, I called a random friends pediatrician who requested I text him a picture of my sons rash because he was out for vacation. After sending him the picture, he advised me NOT to give him the steroid and put calamine on the bumps to ease the discomfort and he prescribed him medicine to help him with the swelling. I have switched pediatricians now and thankfully to this new doctor my son has fully covered very quickly! Dr Hamzeh was a nightmare to me, and I'm thankful to be with a pediatrician that cares more about the children than the paycheck now!

The best pediatrician in the area

Dr. Hamzeh is one of the most caring doctors I know of. The moment I met her in the hospital, the day my daughter was born, I knew I wanted her as my child's pediatrician. She tends to my child's every need and takes her time in the office visits. She is also so sweet & kind. My trip to her office takes me approximately 25 minutes but it's well worth the drive. GREAT JOB DR. HAMZEH
