I would give ZERO stars if it wasn't for the fact my mother's surgery was successful & you can't post a review here without at heart ONE star. This review is 2-fold. My mother was told by her cardiologist she would be discharged the same day as her procedure for receiving a pacemaker. This dr came to meet me in the waiting room (which i appreciated) to update me after surgery. At that time i was informed she would be staying overnight for obs (even after 3 RNs said she would be going home). Stinks but ok. That was at 1030. I was told I could see her in about 45 mins maybe an hr. 3 hrs later & numerous inquiries later, I was finally able to see her. My mother was NOT happy she would be spending the night but it is what it is. Worse was she herself never met this dr (who performed the procedure) before OR after. Again. It is what it is. She was to be discharged in the morning. "The dr needs to talk with you first then you should be d/c'd." Numerous conversations w/RN staff got us… nowhere other than "we have been trying to get ahold of him," "my manager has been reaching out to him and his staff," "everything with your mom looks good & normal. We are trying to get ahold of the dr." Mom called Patient Experience and got absolutely no help. Called this Dr's office & all i could do was leave a VM. Called mom's cardiologist office & they couldn't believe she was still in the hospital! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUTPATIENT! I called Patient Exp myself & couldn't even get a callback from THEM! No one can be bothered to give us an update of ANY kind. Everyone starts at us with blank faces. Here it is day 2 in the hospital for absolutely no reason & can't get this guy to call or even show his face to explain WHY SHE IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL! My father was admitted on the same floor 2 wks ago & thank GOD he was transferred into Philly because his experience at St Francis was absolutely horrible. Thankfully he was transferred before i could get there. He was 2 doors down from where my mother's lays her head tonight. He passed away 1 wk ago & she is reminded every second of his miserable journey there. Not to mention she is supposed to be planning his funeral! Yet no one cares. Shrugged shoulders, sighs as if my mother is a bother, excuse after excuse for EVERYTHING. Im from out of state & work in a level 1 trauma center ER. I have seen more in my career than this staff can ever imagine or ever experience. Never EVER have I witnessed such lack of patient disrespect and disregard. You can BET I will be there to get her out myself - d/c papers or NO d/c papers - and the Hospital Administrator will be having a face to face talk whether he/she likes it or not. This is completely unprofessional. THIS Dr's office will be getting yet another call from me but this time voicing my disgust at his lack of professionalism. PT Exp will be getting the same phone call & St Francis has lost ALL respect from me & my family - WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BEAUTIFUL ICU TEAM IVE HAD THE PLEASURE IN DEALING WITH IN THE PAST. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! The rest of the staff should learn from them what it means to care about their patients. I just thank GOD my father didn't pass away while at St Francis and on this same floor NOR had THIS dr! I pray this is the last time we have to deal with this dr AND this floor staff. SAD. Just sad this dr gets to go home and enjoy his family tonight while my mother lays in a hospital bed unnecessarily planning a funeral & he couldn't even be professional enough to come and explain ANYTHING. Sad to think my father's last days journey started at St Francis on this same floor. Sad i had to see the tears in his eyes about how he was made to feel by this same staff. Sad. Just sad.

I was referred to dr Deliri by my cardiologist, for a Pacemaker. I was quite afraid as I was having difficulty breathing when I exerted myself. I got an appointment immediately and the whole staff was friendly and put me at ease. Dr. Deliri spent a long time with me, examining me and explaining my situation and the procedure in words I could understand. He seemed interested in me as a person and how I lived my life and took this into consideration in choosing a manufacturer for the pacemaker since I sometimes travel to more primitive places. . He was equally attentive in the hospital both before and after surgery, summarizing and answering my questions. He introduced me to the rep from the pacemaker company, who attended my surgery and I felt reassured. Dr. Deliri has been a fellow at a top american hospital,and that was reassuring to me too. His aftercare was equally excellent. Even though I saw he had more patients to see at the hospital he I did not rush. He was polite… and friendly, making me feel important. My surgery has been a success and I feel good.
