Dr. Hana Fouad Safah, MD

I have read the few reviews posted here and I feel more needs to be said. I was referred from my local hem/oc md. I called for my own appt. and got one in days. From the moment I met Dr. Safah I was impressed. I had already researched her qualifications and I was not disappointed. She was very attentive, relaxed, and she gave us all the information we needed plus more. I had no clue I was being sent for an evaluation for a stem cell transplant, but after her exam, she explained my disease and my Only chance for a cure was the transplant. The whole experience was a positive one. There were some bumps with my insurance but the team and I worked them out. Now just a few months later I'm going in for my transplant. The whole team has been wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a pleasant, knowledgeable team to put it Life in their hands.

As someone with cancer, angiosarcoma, i attempted to make an appointment, but instead of being accepted felt like i was being pushed away. First, suzette says we only take doctor referrals. Do you think if it was one of Suzette's or Hana's family members they would get the same message? You already know the answer. Second, i was told they have no openings till late September. Today is 9/4 and as a cancer patient every day matters and on her page it states now taking patients. Third, Suzette who represents the doctor told me can't speak for doctor when it came to the possibility of seeing me earlier. My question is what is your job Suzette? It just seems to many forget about the patient. i had my medical records ready from Md Anderson, my recommendations from my doctor and still Hana's office refused to open the door when every day matters with the type of cancer i have.
