Dr. Hanna Demarco, MD

During my phone call with Dr. De Marco, not only was she disrespectful in her communication but also displayed a lack of basic empathy and compassion towards my concerns as well as my family’s concerns. She rushed though the results of his tests, which I thanked her for, even though she made it very obvious that she was annoyed that she had to speak with me. She told me they were waiting on the results of this echo then he would be discharged. I asked her if he could be discharged and be called about the results, especially since everything else was negative. She said no, and when I explained that he and his wife feel that he is being kept overnight unnecessarily, she became very rude and dismissive. I began to ask her what she thinks caused his symptoms since all the tests have been negative, and she began to interrupt me, speak over me and stated, “I don’t even need to speak with you, I already spoke to his wife” and then proceeded to hang up on me, leaving my concerns and questions… not only unanswered, but not even acknowledged. As a nurse for over 12 years, this is the worse experience with a doctor I have ever had. She deserves negative stars.

Run run run if this is attending physician. She does not listen, makes assumption and frankly false documentation without speaking with you and getting history from you, the patient. Make sure you log into patient portal and check her documentation as well. Protect yourselves. She doesn’t even deserve one star. I wouldn’t let her care for anyone I loved and frankly she shouldn’t be providing medical care to anyone. And I work in healthcare, she is by far the most disgusting MD I have seen in my 10 year career.

Awful! Very uncaring, impatient, and very rude. I can't imagine why she is even a Doctor with the attitude she had. She came in to speak to my husband and me, and when my husband pressed for more accurate information and answers, she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I can't stress enough how horrible she was, and I hope we never have to see her again in the hospital. I've known many excellent Doctors and she definitely isn't one of them!

Dr. Hanna would come into my room every day with a soft gentle smile and a kind way of making me feel at easy with her. At the point where we met, I had already been in and out of the hospital the greater part of the New Year (almost 3 months) with a septic blood infection, blood clots and finally blood pooling in my legs. Dr. Hanna took the time to talk to me not at me. Let me say this again, (see I am in the medical field, but she didn't know that until later) she talked to me. She touched the areas affected, we went over test results and them she told me what she thought was the best option and then she did the most remarkable thing....she let me choose what I wanted to do. WHY??? Because, I am the patient and she wanted me to feel better. I think she is wonderful and caring and I know that you can't please everyone, but she did me, and I would recommend her to anyone who asked.

Dr Demarco is not caring, she acts always too busy. Doesn't take the time to explain. Doesn't check if her instructions were done at the hospital. Very bad experience.
