Dr. Hanna Issawi, MD

Terrible at handling patients. Has sent alarming test results with no follow up or explanation, and has held up important medication refills without notification. Should not be allowed to work one-on-one with people.

Dr. Issawi is great!,very professional, and personable.

I have visited Dr. Hanna Issawi twice until now. She is ok; I wouldn't complain. But the one problem that she has is her nurse Penny. She has a total DONT CARE attitude towards her patients and will not give a compassionate ear towards our problems, forget about suggesting solutions to address it. I had a few health problems in the past and have been trying to address my current one for which a number of blood work was done. Even after 2 weeks when I did not hear back from them on their Portal or call, iIleft the nurse voice mails for three consecutive days, after which I got a call back from her. When I enquired about my lab results, she said she does not know where it is. On my request, she said she will follow up, and get back to me. When after two more days, I didnot hear anything back, I called her again and left her a voicemail. She then called back the day after and told me the same status. I said I am worried here as to why this current problem of mine is happening, so please… check on it and let me know how my results turned out. Again no call back. Then I called the manager of Sunflower Medical group, Pam, who listened to me and sent me to the nurse's voicemail again. I was at my wit's end. The next day I get a call from Penny saying some of my levels are up so I will have to take care of them, and suggested a few supplements. I asked her if she had done tests on the previous health problems too that I had mentioned, she said she will check and get back to me. As expected I didnt get a call back. So this time, I made up my mind and gave a final call to the manager, Pam, and complained about the whole thing. She put me on hold, checked with Penny, and came back saying that Penny has discussed the complete details with me and there is nothing further left. I said what about the lab confirmation that she was going to come back with about my previous health problem; she did not have an answer and said sorry. This is a totally unprofessional and unethical behaviour that was displayed and I was shocked since I had seen good ratings for this doctor. But I would not go back to them ever again for all the above reasons, and would just say best wishes to whoever chooses to go!

Courteous, friendly, warm, professional. I would recommend her to a friend.

Great Doctor

Dr. Issawi is a decent doctor. She tries to listen and understand you. Her nurse, Penny, is neither courteous or kind. I plan on selecting a different doctor based on my experience with Penny. I thought maybe she was having a bad day on the first visit. However, after multiple visits to the office, Penny remained rude and difficult to communicate with.

I found someone who would care, listen and spend time with me. She explained things to me about my DM I should have been known for 10 years, that no body care to explain to me.

SPENT 8 DAYS ON WRONG ANTIBOTIC NEVER RETURNED CALLS DID NOT READ MY MEDICAL HISTORY BEFORE TREATING ME AS A NEW PATIENT. VERY DISSATISFIED
