Summary
I was born and raised in Chicago and attended college in Ohio, where I majored in sociology. I then became an Americorps/HealthCorps volunteer; I trained as a doula and provided perinatal education in a community health clinic. My work at the clinic exposed me to the joys and difficulties women experience during pregnancy, and I decided to return to school to obtain my master_s degree in nursing to become a nurse midwife. I am married and have two cats. I appreciate the patient-centered, evidence-based approach providers take at Kaiser Permanente, and it is wonderful to have such a vast network of colleagues to refer patients to within the organization.
