Dr. Hannah Sidney Mitchell, MD

Dr. Mitchell was my favorite Doctor at DH and I enjoyed seeing her during my pregnancy. When I went into labor she was the doctor on call and I was so happy. She delivered my son and made feel incredibly comfortable. She is very laid back and calm which is helpful during a pregnancy and labor. She always explained what she was going to do and walked me through labor and pushing. If we decide to have another baby she will be the doctor I see again.

So this morning, I had my first pap smear. It was my first time meeting Dr. Mitchell. For about the first 10 minutes, we talked about my medical history. Everything was going fine. Then came time for the pap smear. She didn't inform me about what would be going on, which I thought was a little odd, with this being my first time having this done. She had me get in the correct position, then said she was bringing in someone. I didn't know there would be someone else in the room. She poked a prodded, not saying a word. After about 10 seconds, what ever she did down there, it hurt. Bad. I verbally said "Ow," and winced. She glanced at me and carried on. Then three more times, the same pain. I almost broke down. I started tearing up at the pain, and she finally said "Alright that's it! We're done. It won't hurt as much the next time you get it done." She then handed me a box of tissues and said take as much time as I need and that I did "a great job." As soon as she shut the door, I broke… down. I don't know what it was. Probably a combination of the pain, and her being completely careless about how I felt. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. It's been an hour since my appointment ended and I'm still not ok. Please don't see this woman. VERY unprofessional.

Nice but very business like

Dr. Mitchell is one of the best experiences I've had with a doctor. She listens to what you have to say. She makes you feel like your the most important patient she has. Excellent bedside manner and fantastic follow up. I would recommend Dr. Mitchell to anyone ..... is a matter of fact I have already recommended her. Can't say enough good things about her.

Came here for my second pregnancy, I really liked the care that this office give you. They want to spend the time to get to know you as a person and care about your feelings and hear you out on how you'd like things to be handled! Will be seeing her for the next one!!!

Great bedside manner. Liked the amount of time spent with me.
