Dr Renno made a snide remark about my toddler sounding like a genius when I was giving her a developmental update. My daughter has since been diagnosed with autism. Not the only instance she was condescending but definitely the most impactful.

I took her course with the home consult postpartum. She SAVED my breastfeeding experience. When we were admitted the census was high at the hospital and the lactation consultants were all pulled to the floor to be bedside nurses so I didn’t see a lactation specialist in the hospital until my baby was 30 hours old! If it wouldn’t have been for Dr. Renno checking on us during this time and providing help, I don’t think my journey would have been successful. My baby wouldn’t latch well so we hand expressed and fed colostrum and kept her from needing any formula or other interventions. I knew if I had the right help we would and could be successful at breastfeeding. The prenatal course also prepared me for the potential challenges that we faced and how to avoid snd overcome them. Upon arriving home, Dr. Renno came by the next day for our home consult and helped us resolve the issues my baby was having with latching. At this point one breast was engorged and my baby was 11% below birth… weight and things could have taken a turn for the worst if it wasn’t for Dr. Renno. She spent lots of time troubleshooting and making a feeding plan which saved us and now my baby is latching and breastfeeding great. I highly recommend her and all her courses if you can take them prenatal or shortly after birth.
