Dr. Hans Wolfgang Pinkert, MD

This is the only neurologist Ive ever been able to deal with thats reasonable and doesnt push their own agenda on you. Unfortunately he left the clinic I go to for out of state and I was left to deal with an office full of egotistical estrogen filled uninformed counterparts. Now I have to have a meltdown everytime I go in for a simple visit because they have to make simple communication so unpleasant. If you want someone truely focused on your care and not on politics, hes your guy.

At first I thought Dr. Pinkert was an adequate neurologist. He seemed to adequately help me to manage my condition and I liked that he allowed for the patient to have a hand in managing their own healthcare. I had consulted with a neurosurgeon regarding upper cervical issues and possible spinal surgery and ultimately the doctor-patient relationship between my neurosurgeon and I deteriorated. I (stupidly) confided this in Dr. Pinkert forgetting that most people are sheep. I guess most doctors follow other doctors. He stated robotically, " Ms. ____, I will be leaving ____Hospital and transferring you over to Dr. _____." This was funny of course because just a month or so earlier I heard a rumor he was leaving and he stated, "There is no 'conspiracy' Ms. ____. I'm not leaving." Then he left the room. No handshake. Just left. I knew I had been Dr. Dumped. Funny thing is he gave me to his colleague across the hall and HE'S STILL THERE. I know he is. I was admitted to the hospital and the… interns and residents on my case were like why did you leave Dr. Pinkert? I was like he told me he was leaving Medstar and they all laughed. NICE. Really? He couldn't have just been honest and said he felt like I should seek out another neurologist?

He was full of information and really explained things thoroughly. He was by far one of the best doctors that I have ever been to.

4th visit ...will not be going again 1st visit I ended up in the emergency room and the last visit was 2 minutes of him asking me what I would like to do ...I would like to not have to go thru medical school in order to fix myself but instead go to a dr that will help..."ok ill schedule another appointment for 90 days"

He help me find out why i been having migraines for 12 years. And he was the only doctor to find this. So he is an excellent neurologist.
