Dr. Hany Samir Aziz, MD

If I could I would give negative stars. First, the office is ran down and filthy. Second, the office visit was a complete joke, the Dr would not listen to a single thing myself or my sister had to say about my mom’s symptoms, since she is not able to speak for herself. He continuously held up his hand to shut us up while he talked into his microphone. My mom has a tumor the size of an orange and he told us he would test her valley fever and test her for cancer as well. We were told he would make those stat orders and that did not happen, a biopsy that she needed quickly couldn’t be scheduled for 5 weeks due to their negligence. We did schedule a PET scan, which they never called about the results, thankfully her primary Dr took back over and got her into a oncologist and they have been able to work together, turns out she has stage 4 lung cancer. Had we waited for this office we would still have not gotten results, they have done nothing to help along the diagnosis and when you call… you are not helped and calls are not returned. If you are looking for quality care run the opposite direction of this office and if you have a loved one seeing this Dr, find them someone new.

I saw Dr. Aziz's NP, Emily. Dr. Aziz in emergency surgery. Brilliant, professional young woman. She provided new help with my very long standing condition. Thanks!!

I am sorry to say that my time with Dr Aziz was less than pleasing. He was taking care of a critically ill family member of mine. I had him paged and waited over two and a half hours and never did speak with him. Had to phone him at his office as he had given discharge instructions that were not able to be followed as the doctor he discharged us to see did not accept our insurance. I am wondering if he should have known that before telling us to follow up with this professional. I asked to speak with him, but his office staff said I would not be allowed to as we had already been discharged from the hospital. There was no follow up care available and my family member is now on Hospice. I do wonder if we had received better treatment at the onset of illness, if things would have transpired as such. The care was poor and all concerned seemed to care less. My question: How would they want their own family member treated?...then that is how you care for other's family members, it's… that simple.

If your looking for a doctor that has no respect for his profession or for his patients, stop looking you have found your man. Dr Aziz is the rudest, money hungry doctor I have ever come in contact with. My Mom was recently diagnosed with Cancer at Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield and we had the dis-pleasure of having Dr Aziz treat her. He never bothered to explain anything and was less concerned about her and our family after learning show only has Medicare for insurance. Mercy hospital (better described as there is no Mercy at Mercy, should really consider the doctors they have on staff. When my Mom was discharged from the hospital her discharge instructions were to follow up with Dr Aziz in 1 week, we called to make an appointment with the Dr and his receptionist was rude to my sister and refused to make the appointment for my mother. If you are in need of a Pulmonologist I would keep looking
