We were immediately wary of his office when we saw the steady stream of people coming in and going out a few minutes later. It looks like a pill factory. When trying to describe what my pain was, he didn't listen and would ask questions, totally not hearing the explanation I had already given plus he kept trying to make my pain in my neck when it's in my lower back. I am also very wary of the credentials he has listed on his business card. He lists that he is a Diplomate of the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic. I did several google searches and was unable to verify either of these. I found another doctor after my first visit.

If you are seeking good communication, forget it. Nevertheless he does know what he's doing and did help with my problem which consisted of a ruptured disc c4 and pinched nerve c6. I will have to eventually resort to surgery as c5 has been successfully fused in the past.

He would not speak to me when I had questions before each shot session or look at me when I was trying to explain my pain. I did not take his anesthesia, It was get up on the table lay on my stomach,I tried arch my leg and the nurse yanked my leg straight which I yelped in pain. The nurse said I could not speak or look at the monitor during the procedure,I had to look towards her. that was odd. The shots felt like pricks just under the skin not deep to the facet L-4 where the pain was, I had no relief after getting 12 shots. I asked for a different medicine he said he could send me to a surgeon," I'm getting shots so I can put off the surgeon."I said I no longer need your services. I would not recommend him. One of the workers said it was because he was from Germany but I said that"s a poor excuse not to be open about what he is doing to your spine.

Dr. Gutgsell demonstrated considerable knowledge of my problem and went over my options. He listened and helped explain what he could do and the likelihood of success. During the first procedure, I felt he was sensitive to the pain I was experiencing and did what he could to make it as painless as possible. So far, the results have been very favorable. I would recommend him.

Filling out the forms took ten minutes,the pre-treatment appointment took less than five. I believe the doctor looked directly at me once, but it was so briefly I couldn't be sure.The following week I showed up for my appointment at exactly the time written on the card I was given. The woman at the desk said something snarky about my being forty minutes late and then turned her back on me - leaving me standing there wondering whether to sit down and wait or go home.Every single person in that office got on my case about being late, including the doctor- even though the error was theirs and their assembly-line practice was rolling along at a good clip. The man may have some skill but it's nowhere near enough to compensate for his unpleasant personality and the rudeness of his staff.

A nonhuman, but I may be stuck with him to do radiofrequency ablation. Burning my nerves in my back, Terrified that I am stuck with him. A stuck in a town with zero good Dr's.....He wiil not listen or even look ar M.R.I's. Just says I will give you a shot, Without even knowing why. He needs to be reported , how does a simple non DR. do that? And stop this man.. It iall about about the money$$$$$$$$.

When you miss an appointment Your meds get lowered,Phone calls do not get returned Unless you get really angry and then leave a message,Dosen't take into consideration all ailments,only what he wants to . Over all if you go here you may end up in pain 75 percent of the time if not more,Noone should be in pain because they miss a appointment,(It was called in and cancelled).What makes me the maddest is that I like this Doctor,I just think he needs to get a heart and research all ailments before cutting meds,and make sure hes not hurting the person he is suppose to be helping.

Pain injections suck,They only weaken your back.

I have been a patient for a few months. Have been calling for over a week to discuss my treatment plan, I leave messages, no one returns my call. I called requesting a refill... left a message... spoke to a real person, will pull my file and get right back to me. Two days ago. Going on day 2 w/o medication and in pain. Not caring at all...
