Dr. Harald Lothar Schoeppner, MD

Deserves ZERO stars or negative stars. VERY BAD. he does not care for people. I have several problems. He brushes you to the side does nothing. Blames everything on a sensitive stomach. Does nothing to find issues. medication does not work he tries more instead of finding out what is causing my issues. treats symptoms barely did treat mine much. he does not find and treat problems.

He couldn't remember where my pain even was, cleared me of left side pain when I have right pelvic pain. He did a colonoscopy, spoke to my husband even though I specifically requested that he speak to no one but me about the procedure as only I know all the details. I come to from anesthesia and my husband starts telling me what he can remember and gives me paperwork which showed an image labeled healthy cecum. I don't have a cecum, it was removed by one of his colleagues. (When pressed he replied, "Are you sure it was removed?" And then when told yes, he says, "ok", that's it.) He told me at my follow up appointment that I just needed to do more fun activities. I thanked him for his time and informed him he was fired. He then asked why, I threw out the name of 3 other possible diagnosis that I was aware of that were still possible, maybe if he played GI instead of psychiatrist it would have occurred to him. He agreed that all my suggestions are definitely possible especially… with my history and offered to run tests. I just ran. My PCP is the one that caught that he wasn't even aware of where my pain was and she literally started crying and just hugged me while telling me. I had to go through 3 more GI's because they were all reading this guys notes and then treating me poorly. I finally found a GI that read through my entire file and did a thorough exam and testing. I have SIBO (one of my suggestions) and Sjogren's which is effecting my GI system. If you want actual Dr-ing and not someone to roll their eyes and diagnose you with ladies hysteria, find another provider.

Dr. Schoeppner did endoscopies on bothmy parents and he and the staff at st.Marys Medical Outpatient wing did an excellent job, Great! bedside manners from the nursing staff to Dr.Schoeppner,Doctor Always presented himself as a consumate professional, plus their endoscopys went smoothly.
