The worst psychiatric provider I have ever interacted with bar none and in the early years in and out of facilities, I interacted with several. He expressed zero interest in who I was as a person. After a year and a half, he knew less about me than someone I might have just met after 5 minutes of small talk. To him, I was just a list of things he needed to fill out on a form. I have never felt so dehumanized by a doctor in any discipline in my life. Every word out of his mouth was straight out of a textbook. He's a flaming hot mess of inexperience, lack of compassion and thinly veiled contempt for his patients. Despite being stable for 10 years and only desiring small medication adjustments he spoke to me as if I'd barely managed to ride the bus to every appointment. Unless you're looking for someone who has no respect for you as a person or your intelligence, look elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and try to get into see McClendon. She spends a full 30 minutes an appointment… instead of 15 and is genuinely interested in the lives of her patients. She has listened to my suggestions and questions about medication adjustments while also bringing up new lines of treatments. We figure it out TOGETHER. I regret I wasted so much time allowing myself to be treated so badly. I went away from every appointment feeling significantly worse than I went in.
