Since he was a child, Dr. Hashimi dreamed of being a doctor. “Medicine was sort of a family trade,” he says. “Aunts, uncles, cousins—almost everyone in my extended family chose a career in healthcare. It’s in our blood!” Having an artistic eye and a steady hand, dentistry seemed to be the most natural course for Dr. Hashimi.
Boundless opportunity beckoned from Los Angeles, and it was to that city that the Hashimi family relocated in 1988. Dr. Hashimi obtained his undergraduate degree—a B.S. in microbiology—from California Polytechnic University at Pomona and also did graduate research work in genetics at City of Hope in Duarte. It was during that time that Dr. Hashimi thought of pursuing a more academic route—as a researcher for a respected university or hospital. But his first love kept calling and Dr. Hashimi realized that he wanted direct patient contact. Dentistry took Dr. Hashimi to the East Coast and big-city life. He received his …D.D.S. degree at NYU in 2007.
Dr. Hashimi takes a multidisciplinary, multifaceted approach to practicing dentistry—an approach where function and form go hand-in-hand. “My aim is to give the ultimate result, where all clinical and aesthetic aspects are addressed. It’s a very comprehensive way of working.”

Dr. Hashimi lives in Fontana with his family and enjoys spending time with relatives and friends, traveling, playing basketball, and bicycle riding.
He is fluent in Persian and Urdu.
