Dr. Haris Ali Rana

Dr. Rana made the most sexist and derogatory statement toward a woman in one of his videos that I felt I had to come on here and warn people. In a video about a disruptive patient being dealt with by a female security guard, Dr. Rana expressed surprise that a female could actually do this job. In fact, in describing the female security guard, Dr. Rana said, “Even though “it” was a female…” she was able to remain professional and deal with the stressful situation. What a disgusting thing for a physician to say about a woman. To be clear - women are not “its.” Women are able to remain professional under pressure. And it should not come as a surprise to a physician that a woman can do her job successfully. In looking at his bio, it appears that Dr. Rana is a men’s health concierge physician. Since this means he likely has to depend on wealthy men to pay his salary, it doesn’t surprise me that he’d think men are better than women. It saddens me that a doctor who would say… something this derogatory about women has a license to possibly treat them. If you are a woman - stay away from this doctor. If you’re a man who loves and respects women, stay away from this doctor.
